Housing Requirements on WAICU Campuses 2014-2015

Alverno College – Milwaukee Living on campus is recommended, but not required. Housing grants are available to those who qualify.

Bellin College – Green Bay Students at Bellin College make their own off-campus housing arrangements. Bellin College does not have its own residence halls, but there is a residency agreement for some dually enrolled students.

Beloit College – Beloit Beloit guarantees housing for four years, although seniors may live off campus. All students must live on campus for the first three years. The percentage of undergraduates living on campus is 95%.

Cardinal Stritch University – Milwaukee The University has two residence halls on campus. Housing is guaranteed, and about one-third of the traditional student population lives on campus. Freshmen are required to live on campus unless they are living with a parent or guardian. Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis. Upperclassmen may also choose to live in a private apartment complex located adjacent to campus in units that are leased by the University.

Carroll University – Waukesha Carroll University guarantees housing to freshmen. Students are required to live on campus for the first three years unless they are living with parents.

Carthage College – Kenosha Students are required to live on campus until their senior year, and housing is guaranteed. Students may appeal to live off campus.

Columbia College of Nursing – Glendale At this time, CCON does not offer on-campus housing. However, assistance is available to provide students with resources to find affordable housing in the area.

Concordia University – Mequon Students are not required to live on campus. Housing is guaranteed for incoming freshman and transfer students if they have applied for housing by June 1. About 60% of traditional undergraduates reside on campus.

Edgewood College – Madison All full-time freshmen and sophomore undergraduate students who do not live with a family member are required to live on campus. About 85% of freshmen and sophomores live on campus.

Lakeland College – Sheboygan All unmarried, full-time undergraduate students enrolled in traditional programs who are under the age of 21 are required to live on campus, unless they are living at home with a family member. Housing is guaranteed. About 70% of undergraduates live on campus.

Lawrence University – Appleton Students are required to live on campus, and housing is guaranteed. About 95% of undergraduates live on campus. Students who have been out of high school for more than four years (or are married and/or parents) are exempt from this requirement.

Marian University – Fond du Lac Freshmen and sophomores are required to live on campus unless they are living with parents within a reasonable commuting distance (50 miles). Housing is guaranteed. Approximately half of Marian’s undergraduate students live on campus.

Marquette University – Milwaukee Students are required to live on campus for the first two years unless they live at home. Housing is guaranteed. Of freshmen, 95% live on campus.

Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design Students are required to live on campus for their first two years unless they are within a 45-mile radius of campus. MIAD’s new apartment-style residence, Two50Two, opened in fall 2014 in the Historic Third Ward. Housing is guaranteed for students who submit their tuition deposit, housing deposit, and housing contract by May 1. Approximately 65% of freshmen and sophomore undergraduates live on campus.

Milwaukee School of Engineering Students are required to live on campus for the first two years unless they are living at home with parents within a 50-mile radius. Housing is guaranteed for the first two years.

Mount Mary University – Milwaukee First-year students are required to live on campus if they are coming directly from high school and are not planning to live with immediate family members. Housing is guaranteed. Of first-year students, 47% live on campus.

Northland College – Ashland All full time students are required to live on campus for their first six semesters. Housing is guaranteed. About 78% of full time undergraduates live on campus.

Ripon College – Ripon Students are required to live on campus all four years unless they receive a waiver of this requirement. Housing is guaranteed. Approximately 90% of students live on campus.

St. Norbert College – De Pere Students are required to live on campus, and housing is guaranteed for four years. Seniors can petition for off- campus living. There are 15 housing options offering greater independence as students move through their four years. Approximately 80% of students live on-campus.

Silver Lake College – Manitowoc Silver Lake College guarantees housing for four years, although seniors may live off campus. All students must live on campus for the first three years, unless the student is living with parents or a legal guardian. In the on- campus housing, singles and suite-style housing are available.

Viterbo University – La Crosse Freshmen students who are entering directly from high school are required to live on campus, unless they are living with their parents. Upperclassmen living on campus live in apartment-style residence halls.

Wisconsin Lutheran College – Milwaukee Any student who graduated from high school three or more years ago may live off campus. Students who live with family members within a 50-mile radius of the college may also choose to live off campus. All other students are required to live in college housing unless they have exceptional circumstances for which they can apply for an exemption from the housing policy. Approximately 66% of WLC students reside on campus.
