Dear Wine Lovers, Welcome to our wine tasting at the Albert Hall, Nottingham. We have over 30 wines for you to try, so please keep hold of your tasting glass which is yours to take home with you if you wish. Feel free to make your way around the tables in any order, helping yourself to the cheese and water to cleanse your palate and glass as you go. Just as a courtesy to your fellow wine lovers, once you have had your chosen drop splashed into your glass, please move away from the table so that others can gain speedy access. No-one wants to see a wine jam! And of course, there’s nothing to stop you revisiting. We are pleased to be joined by some of our lovely producers and staff. They are here to tell you about the wines so please do ask them any questions you may have and they will be happy to help. We are also pleased to welcome local food suppliers who will be offering a range of produce to complement the wines today. Bodegas Manzanos, Spain The Manzanos family have 125 years of wine history to draw upon as grape growers and since 2002, have undertaken the winemaking too. They built a modern winery in the heart of the Rioja region, where the rivers Ebro and Ega come together. Here they enjoy beautiful views over the landscape and a superb terroir for growing grapes. The fifth generation of the Bodegas Manzanos Cellar, Rioja dynasty, brothers Victor and David Manzanos, took charge of the family estate just 5 years ago and have taken quality even higher.

Olive Store Discover the perfect accompaniment to your wine tasting over at The Olive Store table. The Olive Store was founded in 2005 by Michael Derham, a university lecturer of Spanish, while on a trip to Spain. As a Spanish speaker he was able to travel to the rural interior of Andulucia, to discover and bring home the authentic taste of rural Spain. Andalucia alone has the largest production of olive oil in the world especially using the Picual olives. The ham and chorizos are produced in Jabugo, a tiny, remote village world famous its climatic conditions which make it perfect for curing ham from the local Iberico black pigs which are free range and fed on acorns.
