He has worn many hat« during hi-s career, among them arti-st, editor, administrator and teacher. He began working in the indi>stry immediately after graduating from high -school (The 6chool of Industrial ArU in ) wherei in addi- tion to a full -schedule of academic course-s, he was al-so able to take a variety of commercial art courses, with art and academia splitting each -school day evenly. After ^aduation he became an arti-st at the Oerrij Iger Studio working on -Sheena for Fiction House, then went on to work for various comics publi-shers including ChaHton fwhere he became editor- in-chief in the 196ïO-s), DC Comics, Marvel, Dell, American, Valiant, Treasure Chest and Junior l\Çz. He has worked with •such fallow comic-s legend-s as Neal Adam-s, and George Perez, among countlc-s« others. Giordano wa-s an arti-st for DC'-s best--selling Baitvan aerie's in the 1970s. He became vice president/editorial direc- tor for DC in 198O and was the guiding behind such award-winning serie-s as '-s Waichmen and '-s The Park Knight Returrrs in the 1980s. Hi-s creative raised the bar for creativity throughout the entire industry. Giordano has also launched two •succe-ssful adverti-sing art companies: Continuity Associate-s with , and DIK- ART, Inc. Recent freelance projects include pencilling : The Dark Kniglii of the Round Tabie and pencilling inking and producing the covers for Batman: Hof/ywood Kni^rt and the -six-i-ssue miniseries The UA.W. for DC He currently draws The for Egmont, a 6wedish publisher. He is on the Disbursement Committee for ACTOR (A Commitment To Our Root«), the first federally chartered, not-for-profit or^niza- tion dedicated to helping comics industry veteran« in need. With creative partners and David Micheline he recently formed Future Comic«! for which he contribute« hi« arti«tic talent« as well as the admini«trative duties of a principal.
