Clint became a genuine jazz wunderkind, almost as soon as he began playing jazz as a teenager in the 1980s. Over the years he has learned to play all the instruments that are usually heard in Traditional Jazz and has also become a much-respected bandleader. The band specializes in the music of Lu Watters, Turk Murphy, the Firehouse Five Plus Two and other Traditional Jazz icons. South Burgundy has performed at numerous jazz society concerts and festivals up and down the West Coast and in November they will make their first appearance at the San Diego Thanksgiving Dixieland Jazz Festival. Led by reedman Mike Olson, the personnel includes Bryan Shaw, trumpet; Robert Butler, trombone; Patrick Aranda, piano; Dick Serocki, banjo; and CJ Sams, sousaphone.
