Marylin Pierre has been practicing law for over 25 years. She is licensed in the State of , the District of Columbia, the State of New York, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

She has represented clients in matters such as , custody, visitation, child support, and child custody. She has represented clients in immigration law matters, business law matters, matters, personal injury matters, juvenile law matters, and employment law matters.

She has addressed the United States Supreme Court, the country’s highest court, and the Maryland Court of Appeals, Maryland’s highest court. She has represented clients before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, various Maryland Circuit Courts, various Maryland District Courts, courts in the District of Columbia, Courts in New York, the Office of Administrative Hearings, the Motor Vehicle Administration, and the Worker’s Compensation Commission.

Marylin was the recipient of the Daily Record’s Maryland’s Top 100 Women in 2010, 2012, and 2014. Marylin was admitted to the Daily Record’s Maryland’s Top 100 Women’s Circle of Excellence in 2014. She was awarded a pro bono award from the Montgomery County Association. She is recognized as a bar leader by the Montgomery County Bar Foundation, a pro bono star by the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland, an honored veteran by the Lincoln Park Historical Society, and a businesswoman of the year by the African-American Chamber of Commerce of Montgomery County.

Marylin is also the recipient of the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee Community Service Award, the NAACP Maryland State Conference’s Enolia P. McMillan “Women in NAACP" Award, the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association Community Service Award, a United States Senate Certificate of Special Recognition, a United States Senate Citation, a United States House of Representative Certificate of Congressional Recognition, a State of Maryland Governor's Citation, a Maryland State Senate Certificate of Recognition, and a Howard County Certificate of Recognition.

Marylin is a public member of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Commission, a consumer member of the Maryland State Board of Occupational Therapy, and a board member of the Montgomery County Historical Society. She is a former legal redress attorney for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Montgomery County, Maryland Branch and a former Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA).
