EDGE Lake Ravens. Bison Dash attracts record number of runners

Wainwright Runners hosted their final event of the 2019 running season with the Bison Dash on Sunday, September 15. The Bison Dash is the final race in Battle River Series, a three-part race series each year beginning with the Bison Run in Wainwright in April, the Lougheed Race in August and the Bison Dash in September. This year’s Bison Dash was run by 87 racers on a beautiful, warm Sunday morning. The 87 participants was a record high for the event, with runners of all ages taking part in the race. Many of the runners set personal bests during the event, and all enjoyed the late summer morning in Wainwright. Wainwright Runners awards Battle River Series medals to runners who participate in all three phases of the series in one year. This year the club handed out series medals to 42 runners.
