Yvonne Newbegin has organised the delivery rota for some years but has decided it is time to ‘retire’, at least from this role. Our thanks go to Yvonne for all she has done to ensure the magazine is delivered around the parish as quickly as possible once it is received from the printers. Tina Vine (the Editor) has agreed to share the distribution task with Cllr Jacquie Shaw and they will be in touch with all ‘Yvonne’s’ helpers for future dis- tribution – our thanks also go to them all. Outlook is a useful and much appreciated Parish Magazine for residents in the Parish – thank you all. If you feel you could help with distribution do please get in touch. North Totton developments: Residents may or may not be aware that much of the area being described as ‘North Totton’ and due for major development including something in the region of 900 homes will actually involve land which is in the parish of Netley Marsh. This will be the main item on the APM agenda in 2019. The Parish Council would welcome residents views on the proposals. A design guide has been developed by NFDC which can be viewed at http://www.nfdc.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=36640&p=0 it must be stated that the design guide is just that, a guide, this does not constitute actual planning proposals but provides developers with a guide as to what is considered acceptable. Actual plans will eventually be put forward for permission at a later stage and will need to be commented on in the normal way.

We hope that this has been done and that there will be no flooding incidents in the parish this coming winter. For further information please see: https://ehipc.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/hcc-flood-risk-management-guidance-for-landowners-leaflet.pdf Lengthsman: The scheme is now beginning to work well, walkers may have noticed some of the amazing work done on footpaths 12 and 16, the photos give an indication of the improvement which resulted. If residents are walking footpaths and find a problem it is helpful if you can let us know and/ or report the issue on the HCC website, thank you - Councillors cannot walk all the paths, you are our eyes on this issue. Who to contact? It may be helpful for residents to be aware of who to contact when problems occur: Any issues relating to speeding or traffic issues need to be reported directly to Hampshire Highways. See HCC website. Flooding or blocked ditch/waterway issues should be reported to the Clerk AND Hampshire Flood Management team - [email protected] Reports regarding rats need to be reported to NFDC Pest Control for treatment/advice, see nfdc website. Tree issues – should again be reported to NFDC or NFNPA Tree Officers see their websites for contact information. For housing and tenancy issues, if residents need to contact the housing department, they can call 023 8028 5000, and housing is option 2. The New Forest District Council Website also lists other ways for residents to get in contact. Wards of Netley Marsh Parish Council The two wards of Netley Marsh Parish Council – Netley Marsh North and Netley Marsh South - are to be discontinued with effect from the May 2019 local elections. The decision was made by New Forest District Council, following a request from the Parish Council and consulta- tion with residents. Under the current arrangements, one parish councillor represents the 313 electors of Netley Marsh North and six represent the 1,398 electors of Netley Marsh South. With effect from the May 2019 elections, seven parish councillors will represent the whole parish.
