AGENDA i. Memilih dua (2) orang Setiausaha Mesyuarat; ii. Ucapan Dasar Presiden; iii. Mengesahkan Minit Mesyuarat Agung Tahunan Kali Ke-24 yang telah diadakan pada 16 Jun 2014; iv. Menerima Laporan Jawatankuasa Kerja mengenai aktiviti-aktiviti bagi Tahun 2014; v. Menerima dan meluluskan Penyata Kira-Kira Tahun 2014 yang telah diaudit; vi. Memilih ahli-ahli Jawatankuasa Kerja dua (2) tahun sekali bagi Tempoh 2015 - 2017, seperti berikut: 1. Satu (1) orang Presiden 2. Satu (1) orang Timbalan Presiden 3. Dua (2) orang Naib Presiden 4. Mesyuarat telah bersetuju dengan sebulat suara untuk melantik Tan Sri Nuraizah Abdul Hamid sebagai Pengerusi Mesyuarat Agung Ke-24 di atas cadangan Datuk Ahmad Zabri Ibrahim dan sokongan Datuk Mahat Bahari. 2. MELANTIK SETIAUSAHA BERSAMA MESYUARAT 2.1. Mesyuarat telah bersetuju dengan sebulat suara bagi melantik Datu Dr. Michael D. Lunjew dan Dato' Azhar Abu Bakar sebagai Setiausaha Bersama Mesyuarat diatas cadangan Datuk Ahmad Zabri Ibrahim dan sokongan Datuk Mahat Bahari. 3. UCAPAN DASAR PRESIDEN 3.1. Tan Sri Nuraizah Abdul Hamid, selaku Timbalan Presiden, telah menyampaikan salam takzim dan mohon maaf daripada Tan Sri Dato' Sri Sallehuddin Mohamed, Presiden, yang tidak dapat hadir bersama di saat-saat akhir atas sebab kecemasan keluarga. Tan Sri Nuraizah juga telah merakamkan setinggi-tinggi penghargaan dan terima kasih kepada semua ahli yang hadir serta memaklumkan bahawa Mesyuarat pada petang ini telah mendapat korum yang mengcukupi sepertimana yang telah ditetapkan dalam Perlembagaan. 3.2. Seterusnya, Tan Sri Nuraizah telah memaklumkan bahawa di sepanjang Tahun 2013, PTD Alumni telah berjaya melaksanakan berbagai aktiviti seperti terkandung dalam Buku Laporan Tahunan yang telah diedarkan. 8 3.3. Disamping itu, Tan Sri Nuraizah Abdul Hamid telah menarik perhatian ahli- ahli Mesyuarat Agung kali ini dengan memaklumkan mengenai beberapa aktiviti utama PTD Alumni yang akan dilaksanakan pada pertengahan tahun 2014. Diantaranya, menganjurkan Pameran Mengenai Peranan dan Tanggungjawab pegawai PTD dalam pembangunan negara sejak daripada era sebelum kemerdekaan hingga kini. Pameran ini adalah berdasarkan kepada Buku PTD Alumni berjodol "At The Forefront of Nation Building: Perspectives from the Administrative and Diplomatic Service." Selain daripada Pameran Mini yang telah diadakan semasa Majlis Makan Malam Jubli Perak PTD Alumni pada 19 April 2014 lalu, bertempat di Mahkota Grand Ballroom, Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur, satu Pameran akan diadakan di Galeri Petronas pada bulan Ogos dan September 2014, di Jabatan Arkib Negara pada bulan Disember 2014 dan, akhirnya, akan ditempatkan di Pustaka Perkhidmatan Awam di Putrajajaya. Pameran di Galeri Petronas dijangka akan dirasmikan oleh YAB Perdana Menteri Malaysia. 3.4. Selain daripada Pameran, PTD Alumni akan melaksanakan satu lagi aktiviti utama pada bulan September 2014 ini, iaitu, PTD Alumni International Conference 2014 bertajuk "Transformational Leadership in Malaysia" bertempat di Hotel Istana Kuala Lumpur. Bebarapa orang "Speakers" dari dalam dan luar negara telah dijemput dan diantara yang dijangka hadir ialah YABhg Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed, Bekas Perdana Menteri Malaysia. Ahli-ahli PTD Alumni adalah dijemput untuk menghadiri Persidangan ini. Ahli-ahli akan dikecualikan yuran penyertaan. 3.5. Akhirnya, Tan Sri Nuraizah Abdul Hamid, Timbalan Presiden dan selaku Pengerusi Mesyuarat telah memaklumkan bahawa satu cadangan Pindaan Perlembagaan PTD Alumni telah disediakan serta diperstujui oleh Jawatankuasa Kerja untuk dibentangkan untuk kelulusan Mesyuarat Agung Tahunan Persatuan Yang Ke-24 hari ini. 4. MENGESAHKAN MINIT MESYUARAT AGUNG YANG KE 23 4.1. Mesyuarat telah bersetuju sebulat suara meluluskan Minit Mesyuarat Agung ke 23 tanpa sebarang pindaan di atas cadangan Datuk Ahmad Zabri Ibrahim dan disokong oleh Datuk Mahat Bahari. 5. MENERIMA DAN MELULUSKAN LAPORAN KEMAJUAN TAHUNAN 5.1. Tan Sri Nuraizah Abdul Hamid telah membentangkan Laporan Kemajuan Tahunan 2013 sepertimana yang terkandung di muka surat 15 hingga muka surat 31. Tiada 9 soalan dikemukakan mengenai laporan tersebut. Seterusnya, Laporan Tahunan Bagi Tahun Berakhir Disember 2013, telah diterima serta diluluskan oleh Mesyuarat sebulat suara diatas cadangan Tan Sri Dr. Zulkarnain Hj. Awang dan sokongan oleh Dato’ Kamaruddin Mahmood.

    Mohd. Sidek KSN baru KUALA LUMPUR 31 Ogos - Ketua Setiausaha Kementerian Perdagangan Antarabangsa and Industri Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan dilantik Ketua Setiausaha Negara yang baru berkuatkuasa 3 September. Beliau akan menggantikan Tan Sri Samsudin Osman, yang akan tamat kontrak perkhidmatannya pada 2 September, Pejabat Perdana Menteri mengumumkan dalam satu kenyataan hari ini. Pelantikan Mohd Sidek, 55, telah diperkenankan oleh Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail. Dilahirkan di Pekan, Pahang pada 24 Jun 1951, Mohd Sidek berkelulusan Ijazah Sarjana Muda Ekonomi de- ngan Kepujian dalam bidang Pentadbiran Awam dari Universiti Malaya dan Sarjana Pentadbiran Perniagaan dari New Hampshire College, Amerika Syarikat. Beliau mula berkhidmat sebagai Pegawai Tadbir dan Diplomatik pada 15 April 1974 sebagai Penolong Setiau- saha di Kementerian Perdagangan Antarabangsa dan Industri. Beliau juga pernah berkhidmat sebagai Ketua Peno- long Pengarah, Unit Penyelarasan Pelaksanaan, Jabatan Perdana Menteri (JPM). Mohd Sidek mempunyai pengalaman kerja yang amat luas di Kementerian Perdagangan Antarabangsa dan Industri dan semasa berkhidmat di kementerian itu, beliau antara lainnya pernah ditugaskan sebagai Pesuru- hjaya Perdagangan Malaysia di Sydney, Australia. Beliau juga pernah bertugas sebagai Timbalan Penga- rah Dasar, Bahagian Pembangunan Perindustrian, Tim- balan Pengarah (Operasi) Bahagian Dasar dan Penyelidi- kan, Menteri Penasihat Hal Ehwal Ekonomi di Pejabat Pesuruhjaya Perdagangan Malaysia di Washington, Amerika Syarikat dan Pengarah Bahagian Perhubungan Pelbagai Hala, ketika dalam kementerian yang sama. Mohd Sidek dilantik sebagai Timbalan Ketua Setiausa- ha (Perdagangan) kementerian itu pada 19 Januari 2001 dan seterusnya Ketua Setiausaha kementerian sama pada 24 Oktober 2004. Ketika dihubungi Bernama malam ini, Mohd Sidek berkata beliau akan bercakap kepada media mengenai pelantikannya itu selepas berjumpa dengan Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi di Putraja- ya, esok.

The handing-over ceremony took place at the fifth floor of the Prime Minister's Office at 4.50pm. Last day of Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. Najib Abdul Razak takes over as prime minister in PutrajayaNajib had taken the oath of office as the country's sixth prime minister before the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin at the Istana Negara in Kuala Lumpur this morning. The nation recorded history with the elevation of Najib to the post of prime minister when, for the first time, the post was filled by the son of a former prime minister. Najib's father, Tun Abdul Razak, was the country's second prime minister. According to Bernama, at the handing-over ceremony, Abdullah, 70, attired in an orange baju Melayu, handed to Najib the prime minister's blue desk folder to signify the official handing over of duties and responsibilities. Najib, 55, was dressed in a pink baju Melayu at the ceremony, which was witnessed by chief secretary to the government Mohd Sidek Hassan. The ceremony marked the conclusion of the transition of power from Abdullah to Najib. Emotions run high After the handing-over ceremony, a calm and relaxed Abdullah and his wife shook hands with ministers, deputy ministers and senior government officers who were waiting at the lobby of the Prime Minister's Office. They also shook hands with the staff at the Prime Minister's Office who had lined up from the main entrance of the building to Abdullah's car to see the couple off.

    PUBLIC ACCOUNTS COMMITTEE (PAC)’s REPORT ON GOVERNANCE MANAGEMENT CONTROL OF 1MALAYSIA DEVELOPMENT BERHAD (1MDB) 1. INTRODUCTION 1.1 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB), a company wholly owned by the Minister of Finance Incorporated (MOF Inc) became the focus of the international community with various negative reports on this company’s operation and financial position being widely reported by the media. 1.2 The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has sent a letter dated 27 February 2015 to the National Audit Department (NAD) to ask NAD to carry out an audit on 1MDB by focusing on five (5) aspects as follows:- a. The source of RM2 billion raised by 1MDB to settle its loans from several banks; b. RM3 billion new injection of funds from the Ministry of Finance (MOF); c. 1MDB investment agreement in PetroSaudi; d. Whether 1MDB investment money in the Cayman Islands has been brought back to Malaysia; and e. The changes in international auditing firm to verify 1MDB’s accounts. 1.3 The Cabinet meeting on 4 March 2015 decided that NAD was to verify 1MDB’s accounts and reports regarding it must be submitted to the PAC. The NAD began auditing 1MDB starting 10 March 2015. 1.4 The PAC instituted proceedings against 1MDB under the heading of Governance Management Control 1MDB on 19 May 2015. 1 2. OBJECTIVE OF DISCUSSION In accordance with the mandate given under Article 77 of the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives as well as Article 304 (a) Treasury Order (Amendment 2008), the PAC has summoned the Ministry of Finance as a shareholder of 1MDB before the Committee to assess the financial performance and the activities of 1MDB’s Group of Companies since its inception until now to ascertain whether it meets the original objectives of the company’s establishment.

They will be investigated together with four accomplices including a woman, who were arrested at a luxury hotel here. Last night, police here obtained a further seven-day remand against them after the earlier remand order granted by a magistrate in Rantau Panjang expired. Selangor CID Chief SAC II Tajuddin Isa said: “The remand order on the three men, in their late 20s, starts today (yesterday). They had been in remand since Feb 4, when police arrested them at a roadblock in Rantau Panjang.” The remand order of the other four suspects ends on Feb 13. In last Saturday’s robbery, five armed men rushed into the jewellery store in Subang Parade and in a shootout that ensued, two security guards and a robber were killed while another security guard was seriously injured. The robbers escaped with jewellery worth more than RM890,000. However, they were detained and the loot recovered nine hours later.     Sidek to be Petronas chairman New Straits Times 23 June, 2012 KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak announced the impending appointment of Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan as the chairman of Petronas last night. He said, Sidek, whose term as chief secretary to the government ends today, would hold the position as soon as several internal matters at Petronas were resolved. The chairman of the company is its president and chief executive officer, Datuk Shamsul Azhar Abbas. Najib added that the appointment was in appreciation of Sidek’s exemplary leadership and integrity in the public service sector. “I’m confident that Sidek will contribute greatly to (Petronas) and enhance the relationship between Petronas and the government,” he said at a dinner honouring Sidek here. Present were the prime minister’s wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and wife Puan Seri Noorainee Abdul Rahman and Sidek’s wife, Puan Sri Wan Noorlina Wan Hussin. Sidek was appointed as chief secretary to the government on Sept 3, 2006, with a three- time extension to date. Datuk Seri Dr Ali Hamsa, 57, the Public-Private Partnership Unit director-general in the Prime Minister’s Department, would take over as the new chief secretary to the government effective tomorrow.
