Under 14s Mini of the Month Oscar Lacey - U6 The performance of the month came from our young Under 14 side who were narrowly beaten by Ulverston 32-30. It’s been a tough year so far for a team who are all ‘bottom end’ of the age group. A Dan Knott hat-trick and tries from Thomas Brock, Fraser Grant and Thomas Kirkby along with 3 conversions from Sam Atkinson was not quite enough. The side played plenty of open rugby on the night and were unlucky not to get a result.

Oscar is in his first season with the Dragons and plays in the Under 6s. He is a very strong runner and is scoring lots of tries in the mini festivals. Keep an eye out for Oscar in the future.

JUNIOR CORNER The Under 12s picked up four wins this month against Tigers, Pioneers, Walney and Ulverston. The league cup against Hindpool saw a hat-trick from Sam Knott, a brace from Rowan Murphy, a try from Jude McNamara and two conversions from Declan Ashburner. They will face Askam in the upcoming semi-final.

Our Under 6s have been impressing recently at the mini festivals. Mike Harris and Paul Lacey have an excellent group of players. There has been a number of recent additions to the team at training recently and the squad is looking good for the future. Keep up the good work.
