The Fourth International Environmental Forum SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM 2020 The Fourth International Environmental Forum SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM 2020 Speech of President of Tanta University Development and technological advances have recently accelerated worldwide. Despite their many positive impacts in all fields, they have a lot of negative effects that caused environmental problems such as pollution, lack of food security, natural resources depletion, and climate changes. Therefore, working out radical solutions to environmental problems has become urgent through giving the environmental dimension great interest in development policies of all world states. Hence, environmental work at Tanta University in Community Service and Environmental Development Sector is applying sustainable development strategy and Egypt’s vision 2030 that aims to improve quality of life in present without compromising the right of future generations to Prof. Magdy Sabaa have a better life. Thereupon, the concept of development adopted by the strategy relies on three President of Tanta University main dimensions namely the economic, social and environmental ones. Thus, the role of the 4th Environmental Forum organized by the University has an outstanding role that started in the three previous rounds of the forum and found solutions for many environmental problems. The 4th round of the Forum will continue offering solutions to urgent issues. Its pivots will include environmental hazards and their relation to human general health, how to achieve sustainability of natural resources, how to find solutions to food security problems, methods of amending and developing environmental legislations, space technology and its environmental applications and other pivots that discuss various problems and innovative workable solutions. Moreover, the forum always seeks to enhance regional and international cooperation as it hosts scientists from Egyptian and world universities. Therefore, it eventually contributes to exchange of experience and taking many measures, protective procedures and policies that reduce environmental problems. PAGE 2 Speech of Forum Chair Sustainable development is one of the most significant issues in the national agenda of Egypt's developmental vision 2030. This agenda aims to achieve the targeted development goals of the country and helps to realize dreams and aspirations of Egyptian people as for having a suitable and decent life. As a result of advancements and developmental leaps in Egypt currently, many negative effects on the environment have appeared. Hence, the role played by Egyptian universities in cooperation with concerned state bodies has become important for dissemination of environmental awareness and finding out tangible applicable solutions to different environmental problems. Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Tanta University Prof. Emad Etman has given great interest to protection of environment and Forum Chair and natural resources and to reduction of their consumption Vice-President of Tanta University through organizing the fourth round of the international environmental forum entitled “Green Environment and Sustainable Development” whose pivots include working out solutions to all environmental problems with participation of scientists from all Egyptian universities and experts from world states seeking to exchange experience and to fulfill the goal of Egypt that is sustainable development. Ibrahim El Bayoumy, J Diabetes Metab 2018, Volume 9 conferenceseries.com DOI: 10.4172/2155-6156-C3-084 International Conference on Diabetes and its Complications May 28-29, 2018 Osaka, Japan Identifying and addressing barriers for insulin use in patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus Ibrahim El Bayoumy Tanta University, Egypt Background: Diabetes mellitus type-2 is characterized by gradual decrease in insulin sensitivity in the peripheral tissues and liver (insulin resistance), followed by gradual decline in β-cell function and insulin secretion. Thus, patients with poor glycemic control require the use of insulin therapy to achieve the target of American Diabetes Association, recommending HbA1c to be less than 7% (≥8% despite of optimal doses of anti-diabetic drugs). Aim: This study aimed to evaluate and addressing the barriers for use of insulin in type-2 diabetes mellitus patients, where their glycemic control is poor, i.e., HbA1c is ≥8% despite of optimal doses of anti-diabetic drugs. Research Design & Method: We surveyed 200 patients with type-2 diabetes mellitus, i.e., cross-sectional quantitative study; patients showed poor glycemic control HbA1c≥8%, already treated with one or more oral agents, who recently prescribed insulin to control their metabolic status. Data were obtained by patient’s interview using a validated questionnaire. The place of the study was in diabetes mellitus clinic in Farwaniyah Primary Health Care Center in Kuwait. Result: Patients with type-2 diabetes failing to initiate the prescribed insulin therapy have reported misconception regarding fear of hypoglycemia in 49% of the total sample, pain from injections in 68% and self-blame about need for insulin i.e., sense of failure in 61% of total sample of study.

Such unprecedented GOCE data made it possible to improve the determination of the geoid over our study area, namely the Red Sea. The performance of GOCE global gravity field models (GGMs), at the end of its mission that lasted for 42 months, is evaluated using shipborne free-air gravity anomalies over the Red Sea. Seven recent GOCE-based GGMs, namely the DIR_R5, ITU_GGC16, SPW_R5, TIM_R5, NULP_02S, GOCO05C and GGM05G are assessed by means of the Spectral Enhancement Method (SEM) as well as the EGM2008 model. The evaluation focused the light on spherical harmonics degree/order (d/o) ranging from 100 to the maximum degree of the model with an incremental step of 20 d/o.

  • Book of Abstracts
Book of Abstracts th The 14 International Symposium on Comparative Literature “Writing Across Borders” th th (13 -15 November 2018) Book of Abstracts 1 Abstracts of Keynote Speakers 2 “Why does Writing Cross Borders?” Ibrahim Abdel Maguid (Keynote Speaker - Day 1) Man's dreams and hopes as well as experiences of pain and agony have always been a resource for creative writing par excellence. Taking shape in time and space, they all contribute to make writing the epitome of human existence. The question of writing crossing local borders and reaching for a wider audience worldwide has never been an act of straightforwardly communicating a moment in time as witnessed by the writer; this can be better documented by a historian. Only when the writer's characters become the voice of humanity at large, can they cross social, geographical and historical borders. A literary work is nonetheless a commodity in need of effective marketing strategies/mechanisms to reach beyond borders and convey a message from some part of the world probably known through media stereotypes. Far removed from the human and literary aspects of writing as it may sound, this fact pertains to our part of the world despite the proliferating translations of Arabic literature into world languages. Even worse is the fact that inter- Arab borders may prove difficult for Arab writers to cross partly under some immature political pretext or for feigned ethical sensitivities in the age of internet where borders have been dissolved. Writing is truly an individual talent's conceptualization of human experience but for it to cross borders more issues should be attended to.
