Club Events Calendar 2017 The locks to the plate racks on the upper January rifle range have been changed for the 1 Redeye Shoot new year. What is new this year, is that 1 11 Board of Directors Meeting key, will open both plate racks. Cost is 15 {Planning Comm} still $50 for the year. So you’ll get use of 22 stock fish (postponed) both plate racks this year for $50. That’s 25 General Meeting $4.17 per month to use them as much as 29 Ice Derby(postponed) you want. Leominster Sportsmen’s Association By- Laws Change Recommendations Ongoing and annual financial analysis is showing a continuing decline in membership dues revenue for the Ruger Mark IV Competition 620.00 Leominster Sportsmen’s Association, coupled with a steady increase in costs associated with Tax liabilities, utility costs and overall labor costs for the day to day operation of the association. In addition to the reduction in dues income and the increase in costs for operation of Leominster Sportsmen’s Association, we about:blank 3/14 10/17/2017 Print also face a potential reduction in income from our radio tower. Analysis of the reduced dues income indicate two areas of concern: 1. “Life Membership” a. The current By- Laws grants those member that have achieved 10 years of uninterrupted membership and are 70 years of age or older, automatic “Life Membership”. This age determination was made in 1974, when the average life span in Sig Sauer P938 9mm $707.00 Massachusetts was approximately 69. The average life span in Massachusetts today is close to 81 years of age and it is expected to increase at an accelerated rate due to scientific advancement. b. The remaining half of membership that pay dues are split into regular (full dues), Senior, Junior and Youth (reduced rate). d. In addition to the afore mentioned dues situation, Leominster Sportsmen’s Association is drawing less young and middle-aged members into the Association. The intent, based on the structure of the By-Laws, is to allow the elected leadership, your Board of Directors, to do the financial analysis and determine dues requirements in order to keep the Association healthy. b. Massachusetts hunters like you spend many hours in the woods observing wildlife of all varieties.
