[email protected]: Thanks for the question. It is almost impossible to troubleshoot reoeption lsaues remotely but you can use an "ana10g" antenna for dig~tal television. I won1t go into the eleotronios of digital TV but the antenna really doesn't oare if it's reoeiving a digital or analog signal. However, depending on where you live, I don't recommend rabbit ear type antennas! a decent antenna in the attio should work just fine. Please go to www~antennaweb.org for a recommendation on which type of antenna to purchase based on your address. What conserns me is that you say the picture goes black and white and looses sound. This can only happen if you are watching the analog channel as the' digital picture would not act that wa,y. Regardless, the issue does sound like it's related to your antenna. Make aure that all of the elements on the antenna are in·goed shape and I reoommend you check the wire transition that comes from the antenna to the coaxial cable that feeds your TV. Aleo, ensure that the antenna wire is in good shape with no oracks or splits in the jacket. One last thing, KMBC is 'the only VHF digital channel in the market. Your antenna needs to have good VH~ receive oharacteristics to receive us,

If you do not have a VHF capable antenna or one with poor VHF specificationsr KMBC-DT will be diffioult, if not impossible to reoeive. [email protected]: Thanks for the question. KMBC-DT ie the only DTV channel in the KC area that is on a VHF channel. If your antenna does not have good VHF receive charaoteristics, you will not be capable of reoeiving KMBC-DT over the air.
