Polling District A3: The Day Centre is wheelchair accessible and is conveniently situated within the polling district in the polling district.

Polling District A2: The church is wheelchair accessible. However, it is situated on the southern extremity of the polling district, and electors at the northern and western parts of the polling district have some considerable distance to travel. Some are geographically nearer to the polling place in district A1, although to vote there would mean crossing the busy Kelso Avenue/ Road, which is bisected by the tramway. This would constitute a health and safety hazard. Baptist Church on St George’s Avenue, has been offered as a polling place. It is wheelchair accessible and has a car park. It is proposed therefore to create a new polling district, A4 from streets and properties currently in polling district A2, as listed:

It is located in the centre of the polling district and easy to reach from all parts.

Polling District M2: The polling place is wheelchair accessible, is in a central position in the polling district and well-known to electors. Councillor Mrs Mary Smith requested that Foyer on Chapel Street be used as an additional polling place, as electors at the western end of the polling district have some distance to travel to Ibbison Court. The management of Blackpool Foyer however, have refused permission for the premises to be used for polling, as in their opinion this could compromise the safety of the vulnerable young people who live there.
