The Role:
Redfaire, has an immediate need for a Product Dev/Ops Engineer to join our expanding team. This is a full-time role based in our Shared Service Centre in Limerick, Ireland or operating remotely from home as appropriate.
Key Responsibilities:
You will work within a project management/agile delivery methodology in a leading role as part of a wider team. The successful candidate will work closely with our Product Development and Functional/Technical Delivery teams to manage ongoing development and software update releases, leveraging Oracle JET and REST API integration technologies. The primary responsibility will be to lead all dev/ops processes and activities supporting our continuous version deployment strategy.
Key focus areas of this role include: • Assist in defining and optimizing new software release functionality across the Redfaire Product Portfolio. • Manage the product release schedule to build, test and package software updates. • Help industrialize process automation to enhance development, testing and deployment activities. • Incorporate the strategic, customer focused initiatives in product design • Help ensure that product development R&D initiatives follow the proper planning, scheduling and management processes. • Responsible for product version release, documentation, packaging etc. • Evaluate existing system processes with industry standards, and make recommendations for improvement
Qualifications, Experience & Skills: • Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices • Experience working in and advocating for Agile Development Environments & Standards • Strong knowledge of Oracle development tools, preferably good JD Edwards application functionality, database structure and knowledge development best practice • Hands-on with development & unit testing • Experience with Version Control Software (GitLab CI/CD) • Release Engineering: documentation standards; continuous deployment • Technical requirements: BPM workflows, Application Composer, SQL, PL/SQL, JDeveloper, JavaScript & Java core skills • Strong knowledge of Application Servers (Oracle WebLogic, Glassfish etc.) • Excellent awareness of DevOps and Agile principles • Experience producing technical documentation in a multi-functional ERP environment. • Strong PM capabilities, planning & preparing software delivery plans. • A knowledge of Oracle ERP applications: Oracle JD Edwards and all relevant Development objects. • Must have good experience translating business requirements and design into technical design and documented solutions. • Experience of working in product teams including technical architects, functional consultants, and developers. • Strong PM capabilities, planning, estimating & preparing software delivery plans.
