STRONG FAITH, STRONG FAMILIES 1st Quarter 2020 “Faith Matters” and “Free Expression” Good Shepherd Catholic Radio will broadcast two new local programs for 2020 that are produced at the GSCR Studio in Jackson, “Faith Matters with Phillip Campbell” and ”Free Expression with Bill Kassel.” The programs will comple- ment our regularly scheduled GSCR local programs “Jackson Today,” “The Bishops Hour,” and “Blue Collar Theology.” “Faith Matters with Phillip Campbell” is a catholic variety program covering issues and concerns of interest to the catholic community of today. From questions of theology to discussions of daily affairs to interviews with interesting guests, you’ll be sure to enjoy the wide-ranging subjects of “Faith Matters” in your personal faith journey. “Faith Matters” will be broadcast each Saturday at 8:30 am and each Sunday at 9:00 am. Phillip Campbell Bill Kassel “Free Expression with Bill Kassel” presents Award-winning novelist Bill Kassel as he interviews authors, reviewers, publishers, marketers, and other key figures in the world of Catholic communications. This engaging series is for read- ers, writers, and everyone who loves books and cherishes our freedom to proclaim the Christian message. “Free Ex- pression” will be broadcast the first Saturday of every month at 8:00 am and 5:00 pm and the first Sunday of every month at 8:30 am 5:00 pm. Let’s remember, too, that there are a number of options for accessing Good Shepherd Catholic Radio programs. Our on-line streaming service at the GSCR website provides a real-time, live listening experience as an alternative to our AM and FM over-the-air radio broadcasts. In addition, all of the programs that GSCR has produced are available on- line at the GSCR website posted in our audio archive for podcasts or downloads. Catholic Authors of Michigan Good Shepherd Catholic Radio will be hosting another Catholic Authors of Michigan book sale event this year. The book sale will be held on Saturday, April 4th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Vincentian Hall at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church, located at 1111 Carlton Blvd, Jackson, MI 49203. Catholic authors will be on hand to discuss their work and autograph their books. A live broadcast of author interviews will be conducted by Bill Kassel of the GSCR “Free Expression” program and Deacon Tom Loewe from the EWTN “Notes From Above” program during the event.
