The course description lists target audience, general objective, and typical results observed. The next section gives instructors basic information related to providing successful educational programs in a workplace setting, an instructor's lexicon of strategies and principles that can be used in teaching, instructor's role and responsibilities, and course objectives. An explanation of lesson format lists six parts of the template used to design the lessons--understanding/outcome, materials, demonstration, exercise/engagement, workplace application, and evaluation/comments. A sample template and explanation of each part follows. A section on planning and scheduling deals with time requirements, class size, expected outcomes, prerequisites, and suggested timing for each lesson.
