PATRICK'S DAY CELEBRATED? BY BRYCE J. St. Patrick's Day is celebrated annually on M arch 17. It is the death date of Saint Patrick. St. Patrick's Day is an official Christian feast day that was made in the early 17th century. It is observed by the Church of Ireland, the Catholic church, Anglican Communion, the Eastern Orthodox Church, and the Lutheran Church. This days reminds us of Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christians in Ireland, and in general, celebrating the heritage and culture of the Irish. Celebrations usually include parades and festivals, shamrocks, and wearing green clothes. Some fun facts: St. Patrick's Day is a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and M ontserrat. It is also celebrated by the Irish diaspora all around the world, especially in Great Britain, Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. The first St. Patrick's Day festival was held on M arch 17, 1996. It was a three day event, then it became a four day event. Ice Cream because it is so good and refreshing in the summer time. 7. Pizza because it has a yummy combination of cheese and spicy sausage or pepperoni. 8. Watermelon because it is cool and juicy to taste. 9. Chili because most people use their own special recipe. 10. Barbecued ribs when cooked properly, the meat is so tender that it falls off the bone. Kids 1. Pizza comes with many different toppings. 2. Candy (chocolate) because is is sugary. 3. Tacos because you can make many combinations. 4. Mac 'n cheese because it is easy to make. 5. Ice cream because it is cold and refreshing. 6. Hot Dogs because they are meaty. 7. Cake/ pie because they have yummy frostings and fillings. 8. Burgers because you can have them plain or with toppings. 9. Fruit because it is so refreshing and good. 10. Baby pandas have arrived at the Lincoln Park Zoo! One baby panda is a girl, and one is a boy. The girl's name is Leafa, and the boy's name is Phoenix. They were born in the Kovier Lion House.     056 – New Puzzle videogames — 3/4 Here, a succinct review of different types of puzzle videogames published between 2001 and 2020. Not in chronological order. Single character control ● Antichamber – 2013 A first-person puzzle-platform game released for Microsoft Windows, Linux and OS X. Many of the puzzles are based on phenomena that occur within impossible objects created by the game engine, such as passages that lead the player to different locations depending on which way they face, and structures that seem otherwise impossible within normal three- dimensional space. The game includes elements of psychological exploration through brief messages of advice to help the player figure out solutions to the puzzles as well as adages for real life. The player controls the unnamed protagonist from a first- person perspective, in an environment full of obstacles. Upon completing a core set of puzzles, the player can access the exit door, upon which he starts to chase down a black cloudlike shape, using all the solving techniques learned before. Eventually he is able to capture the cloud as a black cube and enter a final, more expansive area, where the shape becomes a waiting shell. The object of the game is to collect all of the carrots in an area and reach a point on the map that progresses the player to the next level.

    Therapeutic Video Game Recommendations How to Use This Guide The purpose of this guide is to recommend therapeutic video games for children based on their symptoms. The games recommended in this guide were curated by researchers at EEDAR, a market-leading video game research firm, in collaboration with mental health researchers at UCSD. This guide was designed as a quick reference to help caretakers quickly select games for their patients. Caretakers can reference the category that best fits the symptoms of the patient and select one of the games listed. When selecting an appropriate game, the user should first select the appropriate symptom and age category of the child, and then select a title based on the available gaming platforms at the facility. Note: Virtual Reality Games are currently not recommended by the manufacturer for children under the age of 12. Methodology EEDAR operates the largest video game attribute database in the world containing over 170 million game facts. To create the recommendations in this guide, EEDAR collaborated with mental health researchers to create a hierarchy of over one hundred game features related to positive health. EEDAR then classified thousands of video games based on these features. EEDAR then collaborated with mental health researchers to determine which features should correspond to which symptom groups. The games recommended in this guide were curated by researchers at EEDAR, a market-leading video game research firm, in collaboration with mental health researchers at UCSD. Game recommendations have been categorized into six symptom categories: › Pain › Boredom (Short-Term Stay) › Boredom (Long-Term Stay) › Anxiety/Hyperactivity › Sadness › Cognitive Impairment This guide was designed as a quick reference to help caretakers quickly select games for their patients. Caretakers can reference the category that best fits the symptoms of the patient and select one of the games listed. When selecting an appropriate game, the user should first select the appropriate symptom and age category of the child, and then select a title based on the available gaming platforms at the facility. Note: Virtual Reality Games are currently not recommended by the manufacturer for children under the age of 12 Methodology EEDAR operates the largest video game attribute database in the world containing over 170 million game facts. To create the recommendations in this guide, EEDAR collaborated with mental health researchers to create a hierarchy of over one hundred game features related to positive health. EEDAR then classified thousands of video games based on these features. Using the information gained from working with mental health researchers, EEDAR determined which features should correspond to which symptom groups.
