    Isabel Dixon Writer Isabel Dixon is a playwright from the South West, now based in London. She is the recipient of the 2019 Adopt a Playwright Award, and is currently developing her new play KALEIDOSCOPES with the support of OffWestEnd.com. Isabel trained on the Royal Court Young Writers Programme, Lyric Hammersmith Writers Group and Soho Theatre Writers Lab. Her work has been performed, read and/or developed at theatres including the Old Vic, the Arcola, RichMix and BAFTA. She was shortlisted for the Old Vic 12 in 2018 and 2019, and was the recipient of the 2015 Jack Wills Young Brit Award bursary for creativity. Her first play, THE PLOUGH, has been optioned for screen by Seahorse Films. HEROES, which was developed on the Soho Theatre Writers Lab, was longlisted for the Papatango New Writing Prize in 2017 and was developed further at VAULT Festival 2020.     John Simm ~ 47 Screen Credits and more The eldest of three children, actor and musician John Ronald Simm was born on 10 July 1970 in Leeds, West Yorkshire and grew up in Nelson, Lancashire. He attended Edge End High School, Nelson followed by Blackpool Drama College at 16 and The Drama Centre, London at 19. He lives in North London with his wife, actress Kate Magowan and their children Ryan, born on 13 August 2001 and Molly, born on 9 February 2007. Simm won the Best Actor award at the Valencia Film Festival for his film debut in Boston Kickout (1995) and has been twice BAFTA nominated (to date) for Life On Mars (2006) and Exile (2011). He supports Man U, is "a Beatles nut" and owns seven guitars. John Simm quotes I think I can be closed in. I can close this outer shell, cut myself off and be quite cold. I can cut other people off if I need to. I don't think I'm angry, though. Maybe my wife would disagree. I love Manchester. I always have, ever since I was a kid, and I go back as much as I can.     Introduction to Ecovenue Ecovenue is a signifi cant theatre-specifi c environmental project being run by The Theatres Trust. It aims to improve the environmental performance of forty-eight London theatres and raise awareness of how to make theatres greener. Ecovenue is promoting the sustainability of theatres and the reduction of carbon emissions through the provision of free theatre-specifi c, environmental advice. The project started in 2009 and runs until 2012. Forty-eight venues each undergo an Environmental Audit, and receive a Display Energy Certifi cate (DEC) and Advisory Report. They track their energy use through SMEasure. Each venue receives a second DEC a year after their fi rst to measure progress. Ecovenue includes a ‘DEC Pool’ of performing arts venues across the UK that have obtained DECs. The DEC Pool helps us to evaluate the project and share best practice and information, establish meaningful benchmarks, and provide a better understanding of energy use of theatres. Any theatre can join the DEC Pool. The Trust’s Theatres Magazine provides quarterly reports on the participants and the work of the Ecovenue project. The Theatres Trust Ecovenue project receives fi nancial support from the European Regional Development Fund.
