The Burlington Board of School Commissioners launched a national search for a new Superintendent, receiving more than 20 applications. A search committee made up of Board members, staff, and families narrowed the field to three candidates. On Thursday, March 12, the Board voted unanimously to appoint Tom Flanagan to the position.
