No .F SCADA /Part II Schemes/DOII / O&.M/ 2012 dated: 25.01.2012. ***** ORDER: The Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board in the letter read above has reported that a sum of Rs. 300.00 lakhs has been provided in the Budget Estimates for the Financial Year 2012-13 for the provision of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition /Telemetry system (SCADA) under plan outlay in Demand No. 34.04 and requested to sanction a sum of Rs.300.00 lakhs to Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board for providing SCADA/ Telemetry system in the following schemes under the part II scheme for the year 2012-13. (Rs. in Lakhs) 1. Provision of SCADA for Combined Water Supply Scheme 150.00 (CWSS) for 893 habitation in Nagapattinam District. 2. Provision of SCADA for Combined Water Supply Scheme 150.00 (CWSS) to Tiruppur Corporation and 417 wayside habitations in Coimbatore and Tiruppur Districts Total 300.00 /2/ 2. The Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board has stated that the Supervisory control and Data Acquisition system now proposed is to monitor and control the entire water works, distribution system consisting of pumping stations, treatment plants, control devices like valves and various other flow pressure monitoring and regulating facilities and the cost for installing the Telemetry system for the above Combined Water Supply Schemes works out to Rs. 300.00 lakhs including maintenance cost for 5 years. 3. The Government after careful examination sanction a sum of Rs. 3,00,00,000 (Rupees Three Crore only) to the Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board for the provision of Supervisory control and Data Acquisition to the following two Combined Water Supply Schemes. (Rs. in Lakhs) 1. Provision of SCADA for Combined Water Supply Scheme 150.00 (CWSS) for 893 habitation in Nagapattinam District. 2. Provision of SCADA for Combined Water Supply Scheme 150.00 (CWSS) to Tiruppur Corporation and 417 wayside habitations in Coimbatore and Tiruppur Districts Total 300.00 4. The Expenditure sanctioned in para 3 above shall be debited to the following Head of Account:- 2215- Water Supply and Sanitation 01- Water Supply 102- Rural Water Supply Programmes Schemes in the Twelfth Five year Plan II State Plan KH –Provision of Supervisory and data acquisition 09 - Grants in Aid 03- Grants for specific Schemes (DPC -2215-01-102-KH-0935) 5. The Government also direct that the amount sanctioned in Para 3 above shall not be paid in cash but credited to the following Head of Account “ K Deposits and Advances (b) Deposits not bearing interest - 8443.00 Civil deposits – 800 other deposits – BC Deposits of Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board (TWAD) “ DPC 8443.00 -800- BC – 000C (RECEIPT)” 6. The Section Officer, (Bills) Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department, Chennai-9 is authorized to draw and disburse the amount through pay and Account Office (Secretariat) Chennai-9 by means of cheque drawn in favour of /3/ “Personal Deposit Account of Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board A/c. No. 6184513396”. 7. The Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Water Supply and Drainage Board, is requested to take necessary action to implement the above scheme after following the procedures in force and send a report to the Government with the expenditure statement in due course. 8. This order issues with the concurrence of Finance Department vide its U .O . No.21896 / MAWS / 2012 dated: 27.04. 2012.
