SHAKESPEARE PLAYSHOPS Did you know that Disney classics like "The Lion King" and "High School Musical" are based off of William's Shakespeare's plays? We are excited to announce that the educators from the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival will be bringing virtual playshops to Danville! Elementary school students will explore fantasy and characters from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and the junior high and high schools students will focus on the revenge driven "Hamlet." Space is limited to 16 students per playshop. Activities include games, social interaction, and gaining an understanding of the bard's text. Danville Wave Riders Age 11-14Y | Town Staff Danville Wave Riders Camp is designed to provide swim instruction, water safety, physical conditioning, and basic lifeguarding skills. You will learn valuable skills in this class that will hopefully bring you back one day to be a Town of Danville lifeguard. To participate, you must demonstrate swimming skills including front crawl, back crawl, & elementary backstroke for 50 yards, breaststroke and butterfly for 25 yards, shallow angel dives, and tread water for 30 seconds.
