On your marks…get set…go! The ever-nostalgic way that the kids on my street would start every race we ever had in the summer whether on the streets on in the pool. This summer as we move past stay-at-home orders and the purple tier of fun destruction, we kick off our SPECIAL EVENTS page 3 THEATRE/ART GALLERY page 4 summer in similar fashion. Ready, Set, Summer is our way to remind you it is time to go outside and play. In a tradition I started just a few short years ago, I present to you our staff’s top ten summer outdoor pastimes. We are excited to announce that the educators from the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival will be bringing virtual playshops to Danville! Elementary school students will explore fantasy and characters from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and the junior high and high schools students will focus on the revenge driven "Hamlet." Space is limited to 16 students per playshop. Activities include games, social interaction, and gaining an understanding of the bard's text.
