______In the One Hundred and Ninety-First General Court (2019-2020) ______
An Act promoting Massachusetts film production.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
1 SECTION 1. Subsection (l) of section 6 of chapter 62 of the General Laws, as appearing
2 in the 2014 Official Edition, is hereby amended by adding the following paragraph:
3 (9) A motion picture shall include a credit and a logo, approved by the commissioner in
4 consultation with the Massachusetts film office, stating that the motion picture was filmed in
5 Massachusetts and displaying a logo designed and approved by the Massachusetts film office.
6 The credit shall include the following title: “Proudly Made in Massachusetts”.
7 SECTION 2. Section 38X of chapter 63 of the General Laws is hereby amended by
8 adding the following subsection:
9 (h) A motion picture shall include a credit and a logo, approved by the commissioner in
10 consultation with the Massachusetts film office, stating that the motion picture was filmed in
1 of 2 11 Massachusetts and displaying a logo designed and approved by the Massachusetts film office.
12 The credit shall include the following title: “Proudly Made in Massachusetts”.
