The collection includes recordings of many significant jazz and blues figures such as Count Basie, Buddy Guy, B.B. King, , Duke Ellington, and John Lee Hooker. A majority of the recordings were made at J.J.’s Blues, Yoshi’s, Kimble’s, Kuumbwa Jazz Center, Great American Music Hall, Freight and Salvage, and Slim’s, all concert venues in the . The recordings are organized by artists’ last name, and includes concert venue, location, cassette numbers [#], and concert date.
