Mount Pleasant Town Hall Art Program

The Town of Mount Pleasant , Arts & Pride invites to submit photos of completed artwork for display in the hallways of Mount Pleasant Town Hall, located at 100 Ann Edwards Lane. a four-month rotating The objective of this program is to promote an awareness of local artists, encourage interaction within the community, and to foster community pride.

Submission Requirements

1. Completed application form. 2. Signed release waiver. 3. Artist bio. 4. Print or photo or digital file (jpg) of each submitted piece of artwork.

Note: Selected individuals must commit their artwork to a -month showcase.

4 Artist Benefits

Artist and art name included on information card hung with artwork. Artist’s name, artwork title, and photos of the artwork may be included on the Town of 1. Mount Pleasant website and/or social media accounts 2. . as well as in press release/ program promotions Specifications

Art must be original and wholly the work of the submitting artist. Any medium or mixed medium may be submitted. 1. An artist may submit up to three (3) pieces of artwork for consideration. 2. The overall weight of the artwork including the frame may not exceed 50 3. pounds. 4. Artwork must be wired for hanging.

Eligibility5.

Artist must be 17 years of age or older. Artist must reside or work in the Town of Mount Pleasant. 1. 2. Terms of Agreement

1. The artwork submitted is original, solely owned by the artist, and reproduction will not violate the rights of any third party. 2. The Town of Mount Pleasant retains the right to use accepted artwork presented for this project and to use prints/photos of the art and the artist for promotional material. The Town may not sell the art to a third party for profit. The artist has the right to reproduce his/her art for profit. 3. The Town of Mount Pleasant has the right to remove or replace the art without prior notification to the artist.

Selection process

All entries will be juried by Town of Mount Pleasant staff and the Culture, Arts & Pride Commission. Submitted photos may be utilized for marketing purposes to include website, social media and/or print, and will not be returned; submission of photos indicates your consent for these purposes.

RELEASE WAIVER The undersigned artist, a participant in the Mount Pleasant Town Hall Art Program, does hereby indemnify, release, discharge and hold harmless the Mount Pleasant Culture, Arts and Pride Commission and the Town of Mount Pleasant of any and all actions, causes of action, demands, suits, accounts, covenants, damage claims, and any and all claims, demands and liabilities for loss, harm or damage whatsoever of every name and nature, both in law and equity, which may be brought against the Mount Pleasant Culture, Arts and Pride Commission and/or the Town of Mount Pleasant or its agents, servants, employees or attorneys, through the artist’s participation in said project and the use of his/her artwork.
