Answered On:06.03.2003 Summer Special Trains Dhani Ram Shandil GOVERNMENT OF INDIA RAILWAYS LOK SABHA UNSTARRED QUESTION NO:2436 ANSWERED ON:06.03.2003 SUMMER SPECIAL TRAINS DHANI RAM SHANDIL Will the Minister of RAILWAYS be pleased to state: (a) the number and routes on which summer special trains have been running during the last three years; (b) the quantum of income generated by them; (c) details of the trains which were regularised in view of the profits; (d) whether the Government have considered the viability of linking all the places of pilgrimage of the country; and (e) if so, the details of the places to be benefited by these trains? Answer MINISTER OF STATE IN THE MINISTRY OF RAILWAYS (SHRI BANDARU DATTATRAYA) (a) to (c): As given in All India Summer Special Time Table, the number of special trains run during the years 2000, 2001 and 2002 were 2038, 2050 and 3050 and these were on 40, 50 and 72 routes respectively. The details of these trains which includes the stations between which these summer special were plying are given in Appendix. Railways do not maintain train wise data of earning of summer special trains. During last three years, on 20 summer special routes trains services have been regularised. (b) No, Sir. Abstract The politics, economy and society of any city cannot be understood by studying only few castes. The contribution of all communities in the development of the city should also be considered. The Sindhi Community in Ahmednagar city has done vivid contribution to the political, economical and social development of the city. Though this research paper of the Sindhi Community is related to the Ahmednagar city, this sample is a representative analysis of all Sindhi Community all over India and is crucil for the understanding of the community. Hence, this research does not remain restricted to the Sindhi Community in the city and becomes a medium to understand the politics of Sindhi Community all over India. The characteristics of politics of Sindhi Community and trends or types in its politics are clearly mentioned in this paper. Sindhi Community uses politics for its economical development. Politics is used as a tool by this community. Therefore, for the Sindhi Community, economy is the goal while politics is a tool to achieve it. This crucial conclusion has come out from this research.
