Item #: 201900784 MOTION, submitted by Councilmember Landsman, WE MOVE that the Administration work with the County so that Commissioner's immediately approve critical projects, such as Upper Muddy Creek. WE also MOVE that the Administration inform Council on options for relief for all low-income ratepayers. If the only option is for the City of Cincinnati to approve sewer rates, in addition to running all of MSD operations, than we ask the Administration to propose that structure that could be negotiated with the County. Item #: 201900785 MOTION, submitted by Councilmembers Landsman and Seelbach, To grow the number of black-owned businesses, along with other MBEs, SBEs and WBEs in the City of Cincinnati, WE MOVE that the Administration prepare a report on the feasibility of consolidating support for these small businesses within the Department of Economic Inclusion (e.g. loan programs, technical assistance, etc.) There should be a single point of contact and centralized support for these critically important businesses. WE also MOVE that the Administration identify ways in which newer, less experienced MDBs, SBEs and WBEs can get the necessary experiences and opportunities by updating our contracting requirements. For example, what is the feasibility of requiring that certain city contracts partner with MBEs that need the requisite experience to participate in city contracts on their own?
