Plot Outline Following 12 women from the Ottawa-Gatineau region who practice amateur combat sports and martial arts including , BJJ, MMA, , , pro wrestling, and judo. We see the challenges and triumphs each woman faces as an amateur athlete in pursuit of their sport and their desire to compete. Obscura Creative uses a combination of storytelling, cinematic 4K camera work, and an emphasis on connection with local Ottawa-Gatineau businesses and organizations to create long lasting grassroots relationships. With a background in collaboration, creating branded videos for not-for-profits and arts groups, and our experience in broadcast television and media, we aim to directly connect with our community, our clients and their audiences. Emily Ramsay Producer & Creator A recipient of the CMPA Ontario Production Mentorship, Emily graduated from Algonquin College's Screenwriting program, on top of her B.A. in Canadian History and library science degree. Emily's writing, project management and research skills keeps her involved in every aspect of each project that comes through OC - from creating budgets and writing creative proposals, to booking crew and overseeing schedules, to production management and post-production supervision. Her creative collaborations have focused on local artist creators including poet-artist Roua Aljied and her series of anti- violence spoken word poems.

Jeremy Kennedy Cinematographer Jeremy is a Telly Award winning Director of Photography, as well as an award winning Director, and Editor from the Ottawa area. He has worked in the business for over 15 years with an ever-expanding resume. Past television projects include series work such as “The Ultimate Fighter”, “Breaking Boundaries”, “Truth Duty Valour”, “Combat Forces”, “Courage in Red” and “Guided”. He has several short films to his credit with festival runs and was a finalist on the CBC Short Film Faceoff. Jeremy has also shot several independent features with international release.

Derek Price Director & Editor Derek is an award winning filmmaker with extensive experience directing and editing dozens of short form narratives and branded content videos. Recent long-form directing experiences include Bell's "Takin' A Bite", "Vs.: Women in Combat Sports", and Gusto's "Spencer's Big 30 Season 2". His extensive background includes branded videos and broadcast television, an emphasis on quick turn around, and an ability to connect with clients' creative visions, creating an easy rapport with subjects and ultimately giving Derek the ability to create and direct high quality content that connects with intended audiences. Derek is also a cinematographer and camera operator, and has shot several independent feature films and series, including "No Easy Days" and "Reliving Marilyn".
