External Services on Medium Wave
British DX Club External Services of the World on Mediumwave includes schedules and information, and a frequency order list of external services May 2021 DX Guide External Services of the World on Mediumwave Contents updated: 12 May 2021 2 Introduction 3-30 External services on mediumwave by continent and country: 3-7 Europe 8-12 Africa 13-17 Middle East, East Mediterranean and the Caucasus 17-26 Asia 27-29 Americas 30-57 Frequency order list of external services on mediumwave Introduction This is a guide to external services broadcasting on mediumwave in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Caucasus, Asia and the Americas. It is compiled with the intention of highlighting some of the more interesting services and programmes for the DXer and mediumwave listener. Many external services originate from high-power transmitters and offer a good opportunity to hear and identify more distant stations on mediumwave, especially as the use of clear ID's and familiar interval signal tunes often makes it easier to pick them out on a crowded channel. This guide will be regularly updated and more will be added in future. If you have any corrections, additions, comments or suggestions that will help inprove things, then they are more than welcome. There may be some unintentional errors that have crept in whilst compiling this first edition, so any help in getting these put right would also be greatly appreciated. Please send details to Tony Rogers by email at [email protected]. ______________________________________________________________________________________ 2 Europe Bosnia and Hercegovina Bosnia and Hercegovina - Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (Balkan Service) RFE/RL's Balkan Service in Bosnian is relayed by Radio 1503 Zavidovići, a partner of RFE/RL, daily at 0000, 0800, 1500, 1800 and 2200 local time, according the the RFE/RL website. -
Domestic Broadcasting Survey April 2016 18Th Edition (Including Tropical Bands Survey 44Th Edition)
Domestic Broadcasting Survey 18th Edition, April 2016 ISSN 1399-8218 Edited by Anker Petersen Hungarian Gypsy Music played by the Lugosi Band in Budapest on cembalo, double bass and violin. (Photo taken by the Editor) 1 Domestic Broadcasting Survey April 2016 18th Edition (including Tropical Bands Survey 44th Edition). An exclusive publication from the worldwide Danish ShortWave Club International DENMARK www.dswci.org Compiled by Anker Petersen, 31st March, 2016. DSWCI Copyright. Once again the 59 years old DSWCI is publishing its annual, completely updated Domestic Broadcasting Survey (DBS) covering the whole shortwave spectrum, including the tropical bands. Part 1 (page 3) is also the 44th annual edition of the Tropical Bands Survey (TBS) covering all active broadcasting stations in the range 2300-5700 kHz. Part 2 (page 7) covers the Domestic stations on international shortwave bands above 5700 kHz broadcasting to a domestic audience. This survey is based upon many official sources and DX-bulletins. In order to make the DBS reliable, each station frequency has been confirmed on the air by our own monitors around the world. Depending on this worldwide monitoring effort throughout the period April 2015 – March 2016, each entry is classified in the left column using the following codes for their appearance on the particular frequencies: A: Regular. B: Irregular. C: Sporadic. D: Likely inactive. Special Events (SE), like national days and cricket test matches of All India Radio, are also included. To make this DBS up-to-date and user-friendly, frequencies which have not been reported heard during the past year are deleted and moved to Part 3 (page 16). -
DX Fanzine No. 93 – May 2021
DX Fanzine No. 93 – May 2021 DX Fanzine, an electronic newsletter which was originally edited in 1999/2000, brings together tips and news as contributed by individual DXers or ascertained from different sources. We are interested in any change in frequencies, times, language-services, transmitters, programme contents, phone and fax-numbers, electronic and postal address, station personnel. The purpose of DX Fanzine, which doesn’t pretend to be in competition with any other electronic DX newsletter, is to provide timely and topical news and information to shortwave enthusiasts worldwide. It is available on the web at www.dxfanzine.com and updated as soon as loggings, DX news, frequency updates, as well as, QSL notes are received from any SWL around the world. Although the primary platform for delivery of DX FANZINE information remains its web site, it is turned into a pdf file, (where you can see the final version of it with loggings and information, just as they appear online), a couple of days after the end of each month and sent out FREE to anyone who has subscribed. The current as well as the previous editions of DX Fanzine (including those of years 1999/2000!) can be accessed from its home page and are there almost indefinitely. NB: All times, days and dates are day/month GMT-UTC, unless otherwise stated. Logs are entered in frequency order. Reception quality abbreviations: P = Poor, F = Fair, G = Good, E = Excellent. Language abbreviations: AA=Arabic, CC=Chinese, CT=Catalan, DD=Dutch, EE=English, FF=French, GG=German, HA=Hausa, IT=Italian, JJ=Japanese, KK=Korean, PP=Portuguese, RM=Romanian, RR=Russian, SS=Spanish, VV=Vernacular. -
