Ministry of Public Health

- The Minister of Public Health launched the new phase that was added to the agreement with the World Bank to equip governmental hospitals under the weight of the widespread outbreak of the epidemic, which includes equipping 117 beds for intensive care for Corona patients, provided that 22 beds are prepared within ten days and 95 beds within a maximum of three weeks. It brings the total number of intensive care beds in government hospitals to 379 beds.

- The Minister of Public Health referred both Saint Therese Hospital and Kabreshmoun Governmental Hospital to the Public Prosecution Office of Cassation, due to their refusal to receive two critically ill patients and to provide them with the necessary aid.

- The Minister of Public Health decided to close a private medical laboratory in the Mazraa area - Beirut after the health observers in the ministry confirmed the validity of the complaints received about the issuance of results of PCR examinations in violation of medical principles, which violates the ethics of the medical laboratory profession, and decided to close the Drive-Thru sample collection center permanently withdrawing permission for laboratory PCR, and preventing Covid-PCR testing in the laboratory.

- The Ministry of Public Health has launched the registration form for taking the Coronavirus vaccine on the website covax.moph.gov.lb.

General Directorate of State Security

General Decisions / Announcements

- The General Directorate of Civil Aviation issued Circular No. 6/2 dated 01/24/2021, which concerns hotel quarantine for expatriates. The most prominent of what was mentioned in it:
