Dear Parents/Carers,

We hope you are well and that you and your family are keeping safe. We are sad that we will be missing the last week of school with the children, however we will ensure that we communicate frequently throughout the day and set various activities for children to complete.

As of Tuesday, we will be holding drop in registration time on Google Meet, twice a day, as the children would have in school. Your class teacher will email the link via the Year 1 school email. Please log in at any time between 9:00am-9:15am for your child to say a brief good morning and 1:00pm-1:15pm to say good afternoon, then feel free to leave and continue with the learning day.

On Monday, a 3-day Blended Learning pack will be sent out via Seesaw. We have created a suggested timetable – please see the table below. Do not feel you have to stick to these timings; as long as the children complete and submit their work the same day and attend registration, feel free to move activities to suit your family commitments best. We will set some more maths work and activities during the week, again, on Seesaw.

Please submit work via Seesaw for the class teachers to respond to it. Work will be uploaded for the following day by 9:00am.

We will also hold a Google Meet with up to ten children at a time on Thursday afternoon so that the children can see each other before breaking up for Christmas. Your teacher will send you the link and timings on Tuesday.

We understand that teaching at home can cause anxiety, however please be assured that although the children still need to continue learning at home and it is important that they stick to a routine, we are

aware that it is the last week of a long term and the children have worked very hard. Mrs Jewell, Miss Scott, Miss True and I will be on hand throughout the day to answer any questions you may have. If you have any trouble accessing the videos or links, or have any questions, please contact your class teacher via [email protected]. If you are having trouble accessing Seesaw, then let us know as soon as possible.

Kind regards, Mrs D Williamson
