Bosnia and Herzegovina will look to keep Wales waiting in UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying Group B, Chris Coleman's side within sight of their first final tournament since the 1958 FIFA World Cup. • Bosnia and Herzegovina are still in the running for a play-off place, but need to gain three points on Israel in their closing two games. Israel have the better head-to-head record in the event that the sides finish level on points. • Five points clear of third-placed Israel, Wales can only miss out on an automatic finals slot if they lose both of their remaining matches (and Israel win both of theirs). • Wales would still qualify with a game to spare if Belgium fail to beat Andorra on Saturday, even if they lose in Zenica (because of Wales' superior head-to-head record versus Belgium, whose last fixture is against Israel) Previous meetings • The sides drew 0-0 in Cardiff in their first Group B meeting. • The sides' only previous meetings were in friendly matches; a 2-2 draw in Cardiff in 2003 and a 2-0 win for Safet Sušić's visitors in Llanelli on 15 August 2012 when Vedad Ibišević and Miroslav Stevanović were on target. Form guide • One side or the other has scored three goals in Bosnia and Herzegovina's last five Group B games (W3 L2) which have ended (most recent last) 0-3, 3-0, 3-1, 1-3, 3-0. • The Bosnians are unbeaten in three Group B home games (W2 D1). • Wales are unbeaten in Group B, and in ten competitive games in total (W6 D4) – their longest unbeaten run in competitive games, surpassing an eight-game streak from November 1984 to September 1987 (W5 D3). During that ten-game run they have conceded just three goals. • Wales are unbeaten in five competitive away games (W3 D2) and have not conceded in the most recent three. Disciplinary • Muhamed Bešić begins a two-game ban; Anel Hadžić and Edin Džeko are within a booking of suspension. • Joe Ledley's next yellow card will trigger a suspension. Trivia and links • The game is taking place the day after Wales midfielder Jonathan Williams' 22nd birthday. • Bosnia and Herzegovina coach Mehmed Baždarević scored in his only game against Wales as a Yugoslavia player, earning his side a 1-1 draw in Cardiff in a UEFA European Championship qualifier on 14 December 1983. • Wales have had the better of the nations' meetings in UEFA age-group tournaments, boasting the record W4 D1 L2. The countries' clubs have yet to meet in UEFA competition.

5 Bosnia and Herzegovina - Wales Saturday 10 October 2015 - 20.45CET (20.45 local time) Match press kit Stadion Bilino polje, Zenica Head coach Mehmed Baždarević Date of birth: 28 September 1960 Nationality: Bosnian Playing career: FK Željezničar, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, Nîmes Olympique, Étoile Carouge FC Coaching career: FC Istres, Étoile du Sahel, Al-Wakrah SC (twice), Grenoble Foot 38, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, MC Alger, Bosnia and Herzegovina • Baždarević played in midfield for Sarajevo-based Željezničar, helping them reach the UEFA Cup semi-finals in 1984/85. • Transferred to France for a lengthy spell with Sochaux, and was named as the best foreign player in Ligue 1 in 1988/89. Wound his career down with spells at Nîmes and Swiss side Étoile Carouge. • Capped 54 times by Yugoslavia, he made two appearances for the independent Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1998 FIFA World Cup qualifying. • Achieved a coaching coup by leading Istres to promotion to the top division in France, with further spells at Grenoble and Sochaux between assignments in Tunisia, Qatar and Algeria. • Hired to replace Safet Sušić as Bosnia and Herzegovina coach in December 2014 with the Dragons having taken two points from their first four UEFA EURO 2016 qualifiers. Chris Coleman Date of birth: 10 June 1970 Nationality: Welsh Playing career: Manchester City FC, Swansea City AFC, Crystal Palace FC, Blackburn Rovers FC, Fulham FC Coaching career: Fulham FC, Real Sociedad de Fútbol, Coventry City FC, Larissa FC, Wales • A solid defender, Coleman came through the youth ranks at Manchester City but started his career in earnest with home-town team Swansea, where he won Welsh Cups in 1989 and 1991. • Picked up the first of 32 caps for Wales while at Crystal Palace, where he occasionally served as a makeshift striker, before joining then reigning English champions Blackburn in 1995 for an injury-ravaged two-year stay. • A broken leg sustained in a car crash in 2001 when Coleman was playing for Fulham effectively ended his playing days, but he was brought on to the club's coaching staff, taking the top job after a successful stint as caretaker in 2003. • After leaving Fulham in 2007, Coleman headed abroad to manage first Real Sociedad and then Larissa either side of a spell at Coventry. • Hired as Wales manager in January 2012 following the death of former team-mate Gary Speed, Coleman signed a two-year extension in November 2013, committing to lead the principality through UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying.

:: Team facts

EURO finals: The UEFA European Championship was a four-team event in 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972 and 1976 (when the preliminary round and quarter-finals were considered part of qualifying).

From 1980 it was expanded to an eight-team finals and remained in that format in 1984, 1988 and 1992 until 1996, when the 16-team format was adopted. UEFA EURO 2016 was the first tournament to be played as a 24-team finals.

Records of inactive countries A number of UEFA associations have been affected by dissolution or splits of member associations. For statistical purposes, the records of these inactive countries have been allocated elsewhere: therefore, all Soviet Union matches are awarded to Russia; all West Germany – but not East Germany – matches are awarded to Germany; all Yugoslavia and Serbia & Montenegro matches are awarded to Serbia; all Czechoslovakia matches are allocated to both the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Abandoned/forfeited matches For statisical purposes, when a match has been started and then abandoned but later forfeited, the result on the pitch at the time of abandonment is counted. Matches that never started and were either cancelled or forfeited are not included in the overall statistics.
