WOMEN’S GOLF: Cougar Women To Compete Twice Next Week

NEXT UP FOR WSU WOMEN WSU WOMEN TRAVEL TO BYU, THEN STANFORD: The Washington State Women’s Golf team will be competing in the EVENT: Cougar Classic Cougar Classic hosted by Brigham Young University April 3-4. The 54-hole tournament will be played on the Entrada Golf Course HOST: Brigham Young University in St. George, Utah with two round being played Tuesday and the DATE: April 3-4 final round concluding Wednesday. The Cougars will then prepare FORMAT: 54-hole tournament for the Stanford Intercollegiate which takes place April 6-7. with 36 holes Tuesday and 18 holes Wednesday. COUGARS ENTRANTS: Competing for the Cougars in the COURSE: Entrada Golf and upcoming tournaments next week will be Amy Eneroth, Brooke Country Club, St. George, Utah., Henderson, Jessica Black, Tracy Broders and Diana Hong.

COUGS DO WELL AT INVITATIONAL: WSU experienced their most successful outing of the season at the Oregon Duck Invitational…as a team the Cougars finished second NEXT UP FOR WSU WOMEN among 15 teams…WSU ended the tournament with three players in the top-25, including Amy Eneroth, who took top honors by tying for first, then winning a playoff. EVENT: Stanford Intercollegiate HOST: Stanford University BLACK, HONG, ENEROTH CAPTURE HONORS: DATE: April 6-7 Sophomores Jessica Black and Amy Eneroth and freshman Diana FORMAT: 54-hole tournament Hong have won or shared medalist honors this spring…Hong with 36 holes Friday and 18 shared top honors at the Lumberjack Invitational in early March, holes Saturday. while Black tied for lead at the Inland Cup the last week in February…Eneroth, WSU’s most consistent golfer this spring, tied COURSE: Stanford Golf Course. for first at the Duck Invitational and won top honors in a playoff.

(Host: IU) WSU WOMEN’S ROSTER WSU captured the tea title with a three-day total of 912, with host FIU five strokes back…Amy Eneroth finished second with a +8 total of 224 and Jessica Black * Sophomore Brooke Henderson, at 227, tied for fourth. Bend, Ore. (Summit) Feb. 26-27 Inland Cup, Clarkston, Wash. (Host: WSU) Tracy Broders ** Junior Jessica Black tied for medalist honors with a two-round 151, but lost top honors on the second playoff hole…Mandy Parsons posted a 157 to finish Tigard, Ore. (Tigard) third in the non-team scoring event Amy Eneroth * Sophomore March 3-4 Lumberjack Invitational, Sedona, Ariz. (Host: N. Arizona) Spokane, Wash. March 12-14 Rebel Spring Invitational, Las Vegas, Nev. (Host: UNLV) Haley Parsons * Sophomore Amy Eneroth tied for tenth, leading WSU to an eighth place finish among Spokane, Wash. (University) 18 teams…Eneroth opened with a 69 and closed with a 70…Diana Hong Mandy Parsons RS-Freshman tied for 19th and closed the tourney with a 66. Spokane, Wash. (Host: Oregon) Amy Eneroth won a playoff for top individual honors in leading WSU to a Allison Travis Freshman second place finish in the 15-team field…Eneroth closed with a 72 to finish Boise, Idaho (Eagle) at 222 (+6)…she had rounds of 73, 77 and 72…Tracy Broders finished tied * = Varsity letters earned for fourth and Jessica Black tied for 13th.
