U.S. and Mexican Permanent Resident, G.K. is an Art Historian Graduated from the Liberal Arts College at the UBA- University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Works as faculty, lecturer, mentor, adviser, critic and independent curator specializing in Modern and Contemporary Art, and Latin American Art. Graciela Kartofel created the area of Modern and Contemporary Latin American Art at UNAM Mexican Nat’l Autonomous University, where she taught for more than a decade. GK has been a member of the faculty and visiting professor in varios universities: Hochschule für Künstleriche und Industrielle Gestaltung in Linz, Austria; UNAM (Mexican National Autonomous University); at Cristobal Colón University, and University of Xalapa, Veracruz; Aguascalientes Autonomous University, all these in ; at the Southwest School of Arts and Crafts, San Antonio, TX, among others.

She has been a member of the jury, portfolio reviewer, and advisor on a broad range of international educational, curatorial and editorial projects including Houston PhotoFest, USA; the Lotz International Triennial, Poland; the Goethe Institute, Mexico; Project ACE, Argentina. She is radio correspondent for La Radio de Todos, Chiapas, Mexico and Radio Cultura, Argentina. She has conducted numerous TV shows and broadcasts from 1976 to 1994, and has participated in film and video from 1983 to the present. Kartofel has designed exhibition spaces for: Center for Foreign Studies, UNAM, University City, Mexico; Mexican Cultural Institute NY; BANCOMEXT, NY and NAFINSA, New York, which earned the team the New York Award for Historical Conservation.
