Vinson averaged 15.7 ppg, 13.7 rpg and hit at a 62.9 percent clip from the floor as Wagner extended its win streak to four and its home win streak to eight games. On Monday, he hit 5-6 shots and finished with 11 points, six Choice Hotels Choice Hotels rebounds and three assists in an 82-70 overtime win at Quinnipiac. Playing a career-high 42 minutes on Thursday, Vinson recorded NEC Player of the Week NEC Rookie of the Week 17 points and 14 rebounds in a thrilling 100-92 double overtime victory over Sacred Heart. NEC Newcomers Both Quinnipiac and Robert Morris will sport new looks on the sidelines this season. Quinnipiac introduced longtime UConn assistant Tom Moore as the school’s sixth head coach in March. Moore, who spent the past 13 years as an assistant to and was part of national championship teams in 1999 and 2004, has recruited or coached a number of NBA players, including Ray Allen, Richard Hamilton, and . Robert Morris announced Mike Rice as the seventh head coach in program history in April. Rice brings a vast background in collegiate coaching to the Colonials, having served as an assistant coach at alma mater Fordham (1991-94), Marquette (1994-97), Niagara (1997-98), Chicago State (1998-2001), Saint Joseph’s (2004-06) and Pitts- burgh (2006-07). Last season the Pittsburgh native served as Jamie Dixon’s top assistant at Pitt, and helped lead the Panthers to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament.
