Use this uniquely constructed mop with absorbent looped fringe to “pick-up” 24 oz. of liquid. DRY/DUSTING PADS CLEANING & DUSTING BY HAND ROOM AND HALL DUSTING PADS These pads feature an 8mm high-pile surface densely woven from 100% microfi ber to collect and hold dirt electrostatically. The cleaning surface is more than 40 times greater than that of regular cotton fi ber. The larger hall pads SPECIALTY CLOTHS (24” to 48”) have an additional foam liner to insure mop These generously-sized, 100% microfi ber cloths feature double contact across irregular surfaces. fi nished edges ... wrap-stitched and stayed ... for durability and shape retention. They are non-abrasive and highly absorbent, able to pick up seven times their own weight in liquid. While all attract and hold dust electrostatically, they can be used dry or slightly dampened with water for cleaning ... no chemicals are needed. Each cloth option is woven and color-coded by application ... terry fi nish for General Purpose and Bathroom and fl at woven for Glass and Mirror. The General Purpose Cloth is also offered in an extra DUSTING large size. PAD WITH FRINGE This high-pile, 18” microfi ber pad features foam cushioning as well as a 2” looped fringe to more effectively grab and hold dust particles and larger debris. DOUBLE SIDED MITTS Mitts provide greater control in cleaning. They fully cover the hand and securely fi t with a wristlet. The thumb shape provides fl exibility for cleaning into crevices and around irregular surfaces. While one size fi ts most, they are best used in pairs for added effi ciency. Mitts are available for two applications ... General Purpose and Glass/Mirror cleaning. DUSTER SLEEVES Duster sleeves provide superior cleaning performance with their 13mm high-pile, 100% microfi ber construction. When attached to the appropriate dusting tool, these sleeves electrostatically collect dust and other irritating allergens from hard-to-reach places. WHAT IS MICROFIBER? Microfi ber is a material blended from polyester and polyamide (nylon). These individual “poly” fi bers are fi rst knitted into cloth and then treated with chemicals during a mechanical process that “splits” the larger poly fi bers into “microfi bers.” Technically, microfi ber is defi ned as a fi ber with a weight/length of 1 denier or less. Rubbermaid Commercial Products’ Microfi ber is “Ultra Fine Quality” (0.2 denier or less), which is 0.13 denier. The microscopic size of microfi bers permits them to clean better, since they can reach into the tiny pockets in surfaces and “grab” the dirt. The spaces around the microfi bers provide more surface area for trapping dirt and bacteria. This is in sharp contrast with the relatively large size of cotton and rayon fi bers in conventional mops that tend to “push” the dirt around instead of picking it up. HOW TO USE & CARE FOR MICROFIBER LAUNDERING INSTRUCTIONS Detergent Use alkaline detergent with a PH level under 11 Bleach DO NOT use chlorine bleach Fabric Softener DO NOT use fabric softener Washing Temperature Maximum 95°C/200°F with normal agitation, spinning & rinsing Drying Temperature Maximum 60°C/140°F. Tumble dry and promptly remove items from machine. LAUNDERING FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What happens to microfi ber if fabric softener is Q used in the laundering process? Fabric softener coats and clogs the microfi ber A strands making them less effective in cleaning. This effect can be reversed by re-laundering according to instructions. What happens if bleach is used on microfi ber Q products? Using chlorine bleach will aggressively degrade any A microfi ber product. There is no way to reverse the effect. A better alternative is oxygen bleach which is safe for use with microfi ber. Can a germicide be used to clean microfi ber pads Q instead of laundering? No, laundering with a detergent is required to A emulsify dirt, grime and oils. Q Can microfi ber products be autoclaved? Neither microfi ber soft goods nor tools can be A autoclaved as process temperatures exceed maximum tolerances for many synthetic components. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS How much faster can you clean with a microfi ber Q fl at mop? When compared to a traditional string mop, one A can clean at least 45% faster using a microfi ber fl at mop.* How many launderings can Rubbermaid’s Q microfi ber pads withstand? The Q410 18” Wet Pads are very durable… A independently tested to hold up for more than 300 commercial laundering cycles. Traditional looped-end string mops are unusable after approximately 75 launderings. What is the difference between Wet and Dry pad Q construction? Rubbermaid’s Dry pads have a 100% microfi ber cut A pile face…very dense, with 40 times more surface area for dusting than cotton fi ber mops. Wet pads have a 50/50 twisted loop construction for durability and reduced surface friction for “free- wheeling” mop handling. Can microfi ber pads and cloths be used with Q disinfectants like Quats, Phenols and Hydrogen Peroxide? Rubbermaid’s microfi ber cloths and pads can be A used with the disinfectants listed provided the manufacturer’s recommended dilution rates are followed. These chemicals are used extensively in healthcare environments and have demonstrated a good compatibility with microfi ber. What is the difference between Rubbermaid’s Q General Purpose and Glass Cloths? Rubbermaid Glass Cloths feature a fl at, tight weave A that minimizes linting and improves glass cleaning. General Purpose Cloths are knitted with a looser, terry weave that more easily picks up dust and dirt. Q Can microfi ber be used to clean plastic surfaces? Microfi ber is non-abrasive and safe for use on A plastic surfaces. In fact, most eyeglass lenses are plastic and generally, eyeglass cleaning cloths are microfi ber. Can microfi ber be used to clean up petroleum- Q based products? Yes, both the polyester and nylon content in A microfi ber are chemically resistant to petroleum- based products such as grease, oil and lubricants. * Source: 447 Cleaning Times, 2003 RUBBERMAID MAKES CLEANING FASTER, BETTER, SAFER Clean FASTER Experience innovation and design that helps you clean over 45 percent faster* Boost performance with lightweight and technologically advanced microfi ber tool construction Lower labor costs, reduce prep time and increase productivity Clean BETTER Optimize cleaning results by trapping more dust, dirt and bacteria than traditional cleaning products With the unbeatable performance Provide environmentally-friendly solutions of microfi ber and innovative tool that lower chemical and water usage designs, Rubbermaid brings you Realize substantial cost savings without superior cleaning solutions: better sacrifi cing performance results and improved productivity.
