. MFT means “Managed File Transfer”, which encompasses all file transfer processes including workflow automation, secure FTP services and user document collaboration. . GoAnywhere MFTTM brings together GoAnywhere DirectorTM and GoAnywhere ServicesTM into a single unified product. . GoAnywhere MFT was an investment of thousands of R&D hours. . Version 5.0 released on June 19th. Version 5.0.3 released on Aug 3rd.

. GAD and GAS customers (that are current on maintenance) can upgrade to GoAnywhere MFT (GAMFT) at no additional charge. . You will be able to enjoy the same licensed features as what you paid for originally. . Upgrade scripts are provided in the customer portal. . GAD and GAS can be upgraded independently to GAMFT . If you own GoAnywhere Gateway, no upgrade is required to that product

Patches may still be provided for critical issues found in the final releases of GAD (4.7) and GAS (4.0). However, depending on the nature of the issue, you may be required to upgrade to GoAnywhere MFT to receive a patch.

. New Online License Management will simplify license keys . All customers that upgrade to GAMFT 5.0 must get new license key(s) from the customer portal of https://my.goanywhere.com . In the customer portal, Linoma will set the maximum number of permanent and evaluation licenses a customer can have for GAMFT features. . You can have a combination of permanent and evaluation features with different expiration dates for a single instance. . An evaluation license can be quickly converted to a permanent license by Linoma, which you can “Refresh” to retrieve and apply . License Transfers – You can deactivate a license on one server and activate on another server, as long as does not exceed license limit . Important note - If the MAC address changes on the server, the license key may become invalid.

To get new licenses: 1. Log into the customer portal at https://my.goanywhere.com 2. Choose the “Licenses” menu item 3. Click on the “Request License” button 4. Fill out the Request License form, which will send the request to Linoma Software sales department 5. Linoma will load your authorized license counts into the portal, then will notify you when ready

To get the upgrade scripts: 1. Log into the customer portal at https://my.goanywhere.com 2. Choose the “Product Downloads” menu item 3. Select your existing product of “GoAnywhere Director” or “GoAnywhere Services” 4. Choose your operating system and check the license agreement 5. From the “Upgrades” section, you should download the GoAnywhere Director or GoAnywhere Services Upgrade Guide 6. Download the GoAnywhere MFT upgrade file (script) – 5.0.1

7. Follow the instructions in the Upgrade Guide 8. To upgrade to 5.0.3, choose “Check for Updates” under the GoAnywhere administrator Help menu and follow the instructions

. If you own both GoAnywhere Director (GAD) and GoAnywhere Services (GAS), you can still continue to run two instances of GoAnywhere MFT (with just the licensed features purchased) . How to combine both GAD and GAS into a single instance of GAMFT 1. Upgrade GAS to GAMFT (Instance 1) 2. Upgrade GAD to GAMFT (Instance 2) 3. Promote the settings from Instance 2 (e.g. Schedule entries, Monitors, Projects, Resources) into Instance 1 4. Keys and certificates will have to be exported from Instance 2 and imported into Instance 1. 5. Some items will have to be manually recreated such as Admin Users .
