The are two objectives in this research, namely to tell types of the slang appeared in this song, and to explain the meaning of slang. This analysis use descriptive method due to the fact that this research describe the meaning of the slangs. The data were taken from the song lyrics of The Black Eyed Peas entitled Boom Boom Pow, Imma Be, Pump It, Shut Up and My Humps. The researcher uses document and records method to gather the data which is by taking note of the slangs appeared in this song, then classifying them by their types, after that explaining their meaning, the researcher analyzing the meanings of the slang using an American Slang Dictionary and the researcher also asked the help of a Native American in analyzing the meanings of slang, finally, give a conclusion.     1 Reggaetón: Pleasure, Perreo, and Puerto Rico An accumulation of American hip hop, Latin American culture, and Caribbean style, reggaetón is a modern music style combining rapping and singing that arose in 1990s Puerto Rico. In a purgatory between a medium that externalizes misogynistic perceptions of women and a medium in which women can experience power through the reinvention of their sexuality, reggaetón’s identity is a topic of controversy in Puerto Rican popular culture today. The first perspective views reggaetón as a medium that sexually oppresses women through its lyrics and associated dance styles, contributing to Puerto Rico’s preexisting misogynistic culture. Direct lyrics from male reggaetón artists as well as academic articles, will provide a direct lens into the impact of the sexist nature of reggaetón. The second perspective considers reggaetón, specifically for female artists, as a zone for women to employ power through their sexuality. Ivy Queen is a case study that is exemplary for the second perspective. Considering both perspectives relative to one another provides insight into the consequences of reggaetón in contemporary Puerto Rico. To understand the cultural significance reggaetón has in contributing to gender inequality, it is first essential to consider the historical implications of sexuality and race in Puerto Rico. When colonized by the Spanish, a majority of the indigenous population was wiped out by disease and forced labor, instigating the mass influx of African slavery. Black female slaves were often the victims of sexual assault and violent rape by white slave owners. Thus, ​ there existed an inherent sexualization of darker-skinned women by Spanish colonizers because their “darker-hued black female body [suggested] a 'natural' propensity for exotic sexual labor” (Herrera 44).

    Turismo establece plan para manejar efectos del huracán María La Compañía de Turismo de Puerto Rico (CTPR) estableció un plan en tres etapas para atender la situación del sector luego de que el paso de los huracanes Irma y María prácticamente paralizara la industria. El director ejecutivo de esta dependencia,José Izquierdo, explicó que la primera etapa será atender las situaciones apremiantes de infraestructura turística, la segunda será la de reconstrucción, y por último comenzar a reestablecer acuerdos y campañas que se vieron interrumpidos por el huracán. “Todo está normalizándose. Yo creo que a veces tenemos que entender lo más básico. Que somos una isla y a veces las cosas en las islas tardan en normalizarse un poquito más de tiempo”, argumentó Izquierdo. Exhortan a esperar hasta mediados de octubre para restablecer ocupación hotelera Tan reciente como en agosto pasado, Turismo lanzó una campaña publicitaria llamada “Take It Despacito” enfocada en atraer el turismo internacional. Esta campaña usa como base el éxito musical Despacito del cantante Luis Fonsi, a dúo con el reggaetonero Daddy Yankee. Para promover el turismo interno, la CTPR había establecido la campaña “Lo que el mundo busca tú ya lo tienes”. Luego de los huracanes, seguramente será necesario ajustar ambas campañas para asegurarle al visitante que el país se ha estabilizado y está listo para recibirlos. Por eso, además de la situación de las hospederías de la isla, la CTPR también debe evaluar la situación de las atracciones turísticas. Esa labor comenzó esta semana. Por otro lado, el traspaso de competencias a la recién creada Organización de Mercadeo de Destino (DMO), continúa como pautado para verano de 2018, mientras será la CTPR la que se encargue de manejar todo lo relacionado a la industria.
