General • Saturday’s attendance at Neyland Stadium: 22,943 (Official Sellout) • Tennessee's all-time record fell to 848-401-53. UT ranks 10th all-time in wins among NCAA Division I programs and second among current teams. • Saturday was the 50th meeting in the all-time series between the Vols and Gators. Florida increased its lead in the all-time series to 30-20 with Saturday’s victory.

Vol Captains/Coin Toss • Tennessee’s team captains for Saturday’s game: Matthew Butler, Deandre Johnson, Josh Palmer and Trey Smith. • Florida won the toss and deferred to the second half. Tennessee received the first half kickoff and defended the north .

First Time Starters • True freshman QB Harrison Bailey made his first-career start on Saturday. • True Freshman OL Cooper Mays made his first-career start on Saturday, getting the nod at center in place of Brandon Kennedy, who was unavailable. • True freshman OL Javontez Spraggins made his first-career start on Saturday, lining up at tight end – wearing #41 – as Tennessee opened in a jumbo package. Sophomore OL Wanya Morris also lined up at tight end to start the game – wearing No. 23 – marking his first-career start at tight end.

Tennessee Debuts • True freshman RB Dee Beckwith and true freshman DL Dominic Bailey made their collegiate debuts in Saturday’s contest. They are the 21st and 22nd Vols to make their Tennessee debuts this season and the 18th and 19th true freshmen to do so.

Bailey Makes First Career Start • Harrison Bailey became the 11th true freshman quarterback to start a game in program history and just the fourth to make his first-career start against a Top 10 opponent. The last Tennessee quarterback to start as a true freshman was Brian Maurer, who started four games in 2019. • Bailey threw his first-career pass on a 15-yard toss to Eric Gray in the second quarter to give the Vols a 7-3 lead after the successful PAT. The touchdown throw capped a season-long 11-play, 96-yard scoring drive. • Bailey finished the game 14-of-21 for 111 yards and one touchdown, all career highs.

Mays Brothers • UT offensive linemen Cade Mays (right guard) and Cooper Mays (center) became the first set of brothers since Ethan Wolf and Eli Wolf to start in the same game for the Vols. The Wolf brothers both started at tight end in Tennessee’s season-opening win over Georgia Tech on Sept. 4, 2017 at the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game in Atlanta.

Offensive Highlights Team • All three of Tennessee’s scoring drives featured double-digit plays and were 94 yards or longer. o Tennessee’s 11-play, 96-yard touchdown drive in the second quarter was it’s longest of the season in terms of yardage. Bailey capped the drive with his first-career touchdown pass, a 15-yard toss to Eric Gray on a swing pass. o The Vols’ second TD drive of the day went for 11 plays and 94 yards and was capped by a 7-yard rush by Ty Chandler. o UT’s final scoring drive of the game was 13 plays for 96 yards and was capped by a 22-yard TD pass from J.T. Shrout to Velus Jones Jr. on fourth-and-10 with 27 seconds left in the game. • Tennessee went 3-for-4 on fourth down and is now 14-for-21 (66.7%) for the year. The Vols have converted multiple fourth-down attempts in five of their eight games this season.

Individual • Career Highs/Firsts o QB Harrison Bailey set career highs in completions (14), attempts (21), passing yards (111) and passing TDs (one). o QB J.T. Shrout set new career highs in completions (12), pass attempts (14) and completion percentage (85.7%). He also tied his career high with one touchdown pass, the second of his career. o WR Velus Jones Jr. set a season high with 70 receiving yards (his most since joining the Vols) and also scored his first TD as a Volunteer on a 22-yard catch from Shrout on fourth-and-10 in the fourth quarter. o WR Jalin Hyatt set a new career high with four receptions. • Chandler Continues to Climb Career All-Purpose Yardage List o Senior RB Ty Chandler moved into fifth place on Tennessee’s career list for all-purpose yards after totaling 64 yards (49 rushing, 15 receiving) on Saturday. Chandler – who now has 3,184 career all- purpose yards – moved up two spots, passing UT greats (3,161 all-purpose yards from 1997- 99) and Travis Henry (3,176 yards from 1997-00). • Gray Continues to Pace Vols Offensively o Sophomore RB Eric Gray finished the game with 93 yards from scrimmage (47 rushing, 46 receiving) and scored his 10th total touchdown in the past 10 games with a 15-yard reception in the second quarter. It was his second TD catch of the year and third of his career. • Shrout Impressive in Relief o Redshirt sophomore QB J.T. Shrout saw his most extensive action of the season, leading a pair of touchdown drives in the fourth quarter. Shrout completed 12 passes for 121 yards and threw his first TD pass of the season – a 22-yard strike to Velus Jones Jr. – after entering the game in the fourth quarter.

Defensive Highlights Team • The Vols held Florida to just 19 rushing yards, the lowest rushing output by a UT opponent this season. The Gators averaged 1.1 yards per carry. • Tennessee also held Florida’s high-powered offense to its lowest-point total of the season.

Individual • Career Highs/Firsts o Sophomore DB Warren Burrell set a new career in tackles with eight, which tied for the team lead. o Sophomore LB Henry To’o To’o set a new career high with 2.5 tackles for loss and also tied for the team lead with eight tackles. o True freshman LB Tyler Baron recorded his first-career sack, dropping Florida QB Kyle Trask for a loss of six yards late in the second quarter.

Special Teams Highlights Individual • Junior P Paxton Brooks set new career highs in punts (seven) and punting yards (286). He also boomed a season- long 56-yard punt that was fair caught at the 10-yard line and flipped the field in the first quarter. o Of his seven punts, two went for 50-plus yards and three were downed inside the 20-yard line.
