The Maine agricultural license plate has increased funding for agricultural literacy by more than 300 percent since 2008 when the plate started, thanks to the dedication of Maine people to local food and farms! This year has been very exciting for Maine Agriculture in the Classroom with over 84,000 school children in the state receiving Ag Literacy programs funded by the Maine Agriculture Specialty License Plate! More than $60,000 in grants will be awarded this summer to educational programs for Agricultural Literacy projects.
