WHEN AND WHERE TO SEE FALL COLOURS? Depending on your latitude, fall colours happen at different times of the year. Normally October is the best time for viewing in the Parry Sound Area, but leaves are already falling. What is the best time predicted by experts? This year, Ontario Parks suggest the best viewing time may be the first two weeks of October. As for where, tours down Highway 124 or along Highway 141 or up Highway 518 can be spectacular! Don’t forget McDougall Road , but do drive carefully along this windy path and one lane bridge. Oastler Park is on old Highway 69. Killbear Park is off Highway 559.
