Mullen owns the highest winning percentage at MSU since the College Football Hall of Atlanta, Ga. Famer McKeen from 1939-48 (.764, min. 3 seasons). Mullen is the fifth-longest tenured SEC coach at his current school behind Pinkel, Richt, Miles and Saban. Prior to Mullen’s arrival, MSU was 21-42. COACHING STAFF • Missouri leads the all-time series 2-0. This is the first meeting between the two since Sept. 22, 1984. On the Sideline • Dak Prescott, a semifinalist for the Maxwell and Davey O’Brien Awards, owns a 20-8 record as a starter and he has shattered 36 school records. For his career, the senior has scored 41 TDs (38 rush, Dan Mullen, head coach 3 receiving) and been responsible for a school-record 96 TDs (6th in SEC history). For the season, Manny Diaz, defensive coordinator/LBs Dak is 173-of-260 for 2,048 yards with 14 touchdowns and one interception through the air. Prescott Billy Gonzales, co-offensive coordinator/WRs is the only active FBS player with at least 7,000 career passing yards and 2,000 career rushing yards. John Hevesy, co-offensive coordinator/OL He’s one of only three players in SEC history to throw for 50+ TDs and rush for 30+ TDs in a career. Greg Knox, running backs, special teams • Jr. LB Richie Brown leads MSU in tackles with 66, which ranks seventh in the SEC and 54th Deshea Townsend, cornerbacks nationally. That’s the most by a Bulldog through the first eight games of a season since 2011. David Turner, defensive line • Jr. DE A.J. Jefferson is tops on the squad in tackles for loss with 11.5, which ranks third in the SEC and 20th nationally. Jefferson has had at least one TFL in eight out of his last nine games.
