You Tell Me •Question – Has the Department of Public Safety ever considered issuing laminated rear-view parking permits instead of the adhesive parking stickers? •Answer – According to Chad Worley in the Department of Public Safety, the hang-tag style parking passes have been considered in the past but often cause visual impairment while driving. Drivers often remove them to travel and forget to re-hang them when parking, and so the adhesive stickers are used instead for personal safety and convenience reasons. It is rare for the adhesive to remain on a windshield once the sticker is removed, but dishwashing liquid, Goo-Gone and rubbing alcohol have all been effective removal solutions.
