Since January 2011, these 13 colleges are now officially federated as constituent colleges of the University of the Highlands and Islands upon being granted university status (The NAFC Marine Centre, Highland Theological College and the Scottish Association for Marine Science are classed as HEIs): - Argyll College - Highland Theological College - Inverness College - Lews Castle College - Moray College - NAFC Marine Centre - North Highland College - Orkney College - Perth College - Sabhal Mòr Ostaig - SAMS - Shetland College - West Highland College.
