Successful applicants will undertake an extensive 18 month training program that involves 220 hours flight time at Cork International Airport and . Trainees will receive ongoing one-on- one mentoring from a Ryanair pilot. Ryanair Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), culture and operational philosophy will be taught to the student from day one of flight training. If you have a PPL you can also apply for this course.

Application Process:

Complete an online assessment with our online assessment provider (CUT-E): €55 fee. Successful applicants will be invited to our academy in Cork to complete a further assessment: €300 fee. Simulator test: you will be instructed to perform some basic maneuvers. This is to see your ability to handle aircraft, your learning curve, management and capacity. (due to the current COVID-19 situation we understand it is more difficult to attend AFTA we have currently suspended the simulator test, for more info email [email protected]). Online Interview: This will focus on why you want to become an airline pilot and work with Ryanair, the panel want to be sold on your commitment and dedication. This interview will also include technical and mental maths questions. Upon successful completion of this assessment we will pass your application to Ryanair for approval. If approved, you can select your start date for training within the following 12 months. On successful completion of the programme and a final Ryanair assessment, you will be offered a place on a Boeing 737 Type Rating course. If you are unsuccessful in the assessment for the Ryanair Mentored Programme you may be considered for our Fully Integrated Airline First Officer Pilot Training Programme.
