Knuston Hall, Irchester, NN29 7EU www.knustonhall.org.uk Dear Friends

First of all, to all of you who know Knuston well, can I pass on the news that Ruechenda Herd has decided to return to South Wales and will therefore be leaving Knuston Hall at the beginning of September. In this short space it would be impossible to put into words even a fraction of the thanks that we all owe to Rue for being such a force, such a ‘Knuston character’ and such a massive support to colleagues and customers alike. On behalf of you all, I thank Rue for her total dedication to Knuston Hall for the last 11 years and wish her all the very best for the future. Now the search starts..... On a very positive note, I am delighted to hand over the remainder of my Dear Friends page to Alex Hopkins, who is the Director of Customer, Communities and Learning here at Northamptonshire County Council.

Firstly, welcome to the new Knuston Hall Learning Brochure for the coming year. It is with great pleasure that we share our activities with you and we hope that the year ahead is a successful, stimulating and happy one for all concerned – learners, tutors, staff and the whole Knuston Learning Community. I am tremendously proud of the work accomplished at Knuston as an integral part of the county council’s Learning, Skills and Education division within the Directorate for Customers, Communities and Learning. I think you will be able to tell from this language that our focus really is on the learning – which has at its heart the provision of high quality experiences, the like of which can be found within Knuston. I’m sure many of you know Knuston very well and can be sure of repeatedly positive experiences with staff who provide a consistently high quality environment for all their customers. I hope that from the time you join us at the Hall your time at Knuston is happy, positive and filled with the joy of learning and in many cases the renewal of friendships made on previous visits. With very best wishes, Alex Hopkins Director of Customers, Communities and Learning Northamptonshire County Council

On behalf of you all, I thank Alex for his significant words of support for our work and your learning and I hope to welcome you all to Knuston for more of the “repeatedly positive experiences” to which Alex refers above. Best wishes Eamonn Flanagan Manager, Knuston Hall
