Dear Sir, Parliamentary Constituencies in North Lanarkshire Organisation of Polling Districts

As the day for the General Election has now been announced, I am writing in terms of Section 18 of the Representation of the People Act 1983 as amended by Section 142 of the Local Government etc (Scotland) Act 1994 to seek your Council's agreement to the attached schedule of polling districts and places for those constituencies or parts of constituencies which lie within the North Lanarkshire Council's area.

All the proposed polling places have been visited and would seem suitable in terms of location, layout and general accessibility to be used as polling places for the forthcoming Election. It would be my intention to undertake a review of the suitability of polling places at some point between the forthcoming General Election and the next elections to the Council, after any new Council ward boundaries have been decided following completion of the current Third Statutory Review being undertaken by the Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland.

I trust that the proposed organisation of polling districts and polling places will be acceptable to the Council.
