The Road to Reform

2020 was an important year on the road to reform, as Football Queensland embarked on a state-wide consultation process with members of the football community and began implementing new initiatives that will herald a bright future for the game.

It was also a year in which FQ rose to the challenge of the coronavirus pandemic, which wreaked havoc across the world and forced a temporary halt to all football activities throughout Australia. Despite the unprecedented interruption, FQ delivered a full season of football for the (NPL) Queensland competitions, and was the only Member Federation to record an increase in participation for 2020.
