DAY ONE: MONTREAL ARRIVAL (D) Afternoon Arrive into Montreal, Québec! Collect your luggage and move through customs and immigration. Meet your Tour Manager and load the coach.

French Catholics founded Montreal in 1642 at the confluence of the St. Lawrence River and the Ottawa River. Montreal is the largest French speaking community outside of France, though its sizable English speaking population gives the city a fascinating ethnic mix. Today, with its café culture and “joie-de-vivre” attitude, Montreal possesses a vibrancy and excitement unlike anywhere else in the world.

Transfer/check-in to a local hotel. Evening Dinner as a group in Montreal then return to the hotel.

DAY TWO: MONTREAL (B,D) – Performance #1 Morning Breakfast as a group at the hotel. Following breakfast, enjoy a guided walking tour of Vieux Montreal () – see sites such as the Hotel de Ville and Basilique Notre-Dame.

Afternoon Lunch on own in central Montreal. Load the coach and transfer to a local venue (possibly a local high school or Christ Church Cathedral – TBC or

similar). Arrive, setup and rehearse in this evening’s

venue. Evening Dinner as a group at a nearby restaurant. Performance in Montreal possibly at a local high school or Christ Church Cathedral (TBC or similar). This concert may be shared with a local ensemble. Following the concert, pack up and return to the hotel.

DAY THREE: MONTREAL (B) – Workshop Morning Breakfast as a group at the hotel. After breakfast, transfer to the McGill University Schulich School of Music. Enjoy a workshop with a member of the music faculty at the McGill University Schulich School of Music (TBC). Afternoon Transfer to the where you will have lunch on own and some free time to enjoy the shopping.

The world's largest underground pedestrian network shelters Montrealers from both the scorching heat of summer and the frigid winter winds. More than 30 kilometers of passageways link the stations of Montreal's and contain (at last count) 1,600 boutiques, 200 restaurants, 34 cinemas and 1,600 apartments.

Later this afternoon, enjoy a visit to Montreal’s Olympic Park including admission to the wonderful Biodôme.

The delightful Biodôme houses replications of four ecosystems: a tropical rainforest, a Laurentian forest, the St. Lawrence marine system, and the Labrador Coast and sub-polar regions. Visitors walk through each and hear the animals, smell the flora, and (except in the polar region, which is behind glass) feel the changes in temperature.

Evening Dinner on your own in Montreal and this evening is free. Possibly attend a performance by the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal (subject to concert schedule).

DAY FOUR: MONTREAL → QUÉBEC CITY (B,D) Morning Breakfast as a group at the hotel. Check-out of the hotel, load the coach and depart for Québec City (~3 hour drive total). Afternoon Arrive into Québec City and enjoy time for lunch on own.

Quebec City is one of the oldest communities in North America. Founded in 1608 by the French explorer Samuel de Champlain, today this charming and picturesque community is renowned as the heart of French .

Late Afternoon Enjoy a guided tour of the Haute-Ville (Upper Town) and the Basse-Ville (Lower Town) including the Chateau Frontenac, Place Royale, the Citadelle (where the changing

of the guard ceremony takes place) and the Notre-Dame Cathedral.

Transfer/check-in to a local hotel. Evening Dinner as a group in Québec City then return to the hotel for the evening.

DAY FIVE: QUÉBEC CITY (B,D) – Performance #2 Morning Breakfast as a group at the hotel. This morning, enjoy a visit to the wonderful Musée de la Civilisation.

Dedicated to the history of humankind in Québec, the Musée de la Civilisation is a wonderful introduction to the human and ecological history of the region – especially the First People’s (native Canadians) story.

Afternoon Lunch on own follow by some time to explore Old Town. Load the coach and transfer to a local venue (possibly a local high school or Cathedral of the Holy Trinity – TBC or similar). Arrive, setup and rehearse in this evening’s venue. Evening Dinner as a group at a nearby restaurant. Performance in Québec City possibly at a local high school or Cathedral of the Holy Trinity (TBC or similar). This concert may be shared with a local ensemble. Following the concert, pack up and return to the hotel.

DAY SIX: QUÉBEC CITY (B,L,D) Morning Breakfast as a group at the hotel. This morning, board the coach and depart for the village of Sainte-Anne- de-Beaupré (~25 miles east of Québec City along the St. Laurence River). En route, enjoy a visit to the beautiful Chute Montmorency (Montmorency Waterfall) including the cable car above

the fall. Afternoon Lunch as a group at Chute Montmorency. After lunch, visit the Basilica of Sainte- Anne-de-Beaupré.

Canada’s most important Catholic pilgrimage site (visited by more than 500,000 pilgrims each year), the Basilica of Sainte-Anne-de- Beaupré has been credited by the Catholic Church with many miracles of curing the sick and disabled. A shrine has stood at this location since 1658; however the present day structure was built in 1926 after a fire destroyed the previous basilica.

Mid-afternoon, return to Québec City. Evening Dinner as a group at a traditional Sugar Shack with live traditional music. Return to the hotel.

DAY SEVEN: MONTREAL DEPARTURE (B) Morning Breakfast as a group at the hotel. Check-out of the hotel and transfer to a Montreal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. Arrive at Montreal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport and check-in for your flights. Afternoon Depart Montreal.
