REED-CUSTER HIGH SCHOOL RCHS School Compact…Goal #2: Studying Every student will become a self-directed learner through teaching that incorporates study skills, homework practices that build study habits, and parental guidance.

Expectations of Parents and Families Establish a consistent place of study that is quiet, well-lit, and free of distractions Monitor student’s study time, as well as appropriate use of electronic devices (i.e. cell phones, tablets, computers, etc.) Ensure a minimum of 1 hour of studying/completing homework 5 nights per week. Check student’s progress/grades once a week via PowerSchool and offer praise and encouragement
