Dr Joanne Lovesey - BA (Hons) Philosophy from the University of Reading, a BPhil (two year re- search and taught postgraduate degree) from Merton College, Oxford on ’Expressing truths about God: metaphor and religious language’, and a PhD from the University of London titled ‘A Philosophical Account of the Dynamics of Religious Conversion’. Joanne has worked as a lectur- er at universities such as Chichester and Heythrop college, London, and is currently a consultant and author, presenting at national A level conferences, teacher training days, writing for A level textbooks and tutoring in Philosophy, and also holds a part time post as a Philosophy and Reli- gious Studies teacher at a prestigious school.

John Waters - Qualifications: B.D, AKC, PGCE, MA (Distinction), NPQH. Role: Head of RP at PGS. Favourite Philosophers: “I cannot teach anyone anything, I can only encourage them to think…. James Randall - BA (Hons), MA, MSc. Classroom teacher for 11 years, and head of department at Poole for 6 years, responsible for the curriculum content from years 7-13, and teaches classes in every year group.

Carol Roast - BA in Religion, Philosophy and Ethics and a PGCE in Secondary Religious Education. Currently Subject Leader of Theology & Ethics at the Thomas Hardye School, Dorchester. Com- pleted training in effective use of ‘Philosophy for Children’ in the classroom and has achieved the SAPRERE Level 1 Foundation Course in P4C qualification.

Donna Samways - has completed the Secondary PGCE in Religious Education and also the SAPRERE Level 1 Foundation Course in P4C. Donna teaches Theology & Ethics at the Thomas Hardye School, coordinates PSHCE , and runs a lunchtime ‘P4C’ club for students.

Nikki Pitman - BA (hons) in Religious Studies from the University of Kent and a PGCE from Exeter University. Vice Principal at . Leading on Teaching and Learning. Launched whole school planning and introduced DIRT time across the school for effective mark- ing and feedback. Has been teaching RE for 13 years, and has been Head of RE and Head of Hu- manities at two previous schools.

Laura Cooper - BA (Hons) History, MA. Classroom teacher for 6 years, currently head of house at for Girls.

Ian Harris - BA (Hons) Theology. Classroom teacher for 19 years, head of department at Bourne- mouth School for Girls for 8 years.
